I've worked in food and beverage service and the tips were good ... but you were haulin ass for 8 hours serving some pretentious customers to make it happen. Never got a $300 tip until I started in this industry. That is the largest gratuity I've ever received and it was for an overnight visit.

I would think that servers at SC and golf clubs (on course beer cart girls) consistently get the biggest tips as a percentage of wages. $7-$8 for a beer...automatic $2 to $3 tip.
