Anybody downloaded any movies from Torrent? I did a couple of days ago. When I tried to play the movie the only reason my computer didn't crash is because my AVAST protection kicked in.

got to check the size of the movies and the file type. i would never get a .rar movie. look for .mkv or .avi. bluray are about 1-1.5 gig in size if you see the movie file is massive like 2 or more gigs then you know it's bad and to stay away.

YES it is 38gigs but you can download 3.8 gb rips. Because it is untouched Blue ray. Also FYI the entire bond series is 162 gb. Usually people download compressed rips.

i downloaded AVENGERS which was 48.5 gb :p

I don't think it is possible to have a virus in a movie file. Maybe you downloaded something that was .avi.exe which can fool some people I guess.

Guys this is the time to act. Do Not let the copyright troll invade our country. We do not want to be America. Those copyright trolls going to start a lawsuit against normal users who torrent. Fuck copyright industry.

Nonsense; I usually download files that average 4.7 - 15GB. I look for high quality releases. 1080p.

Does anyone know of a good FREE proxy server so that my IP address is hidden (for downloading purpose)??
The TOR browser does all that for you.....;)

if you download from a public wifi, can they still ID you? suppose you use uTorrent?

No they can not... they will see the IP of the WiFi hotspot.. however I'm sure the local Starbucks WiFi will firewall off anything like a Torrent from ever taking place on their network... so forget about that. Best would be to find a neighbor, one you don't like, that's not encrypting their WiFi... but these days that too is near impossible to find... however finding people still using weak WEP encryption is still possible... and that can be cracked in under 3 minutes if you know how to do it.
