That was yesterday, how about today or get back to us Monday. If he is PI, he's a bad/new one. If you see him again, pull over and as he passes, or not, get a plate. Then go to the police and report him. If your conscience is clear, it could be a case of mistaken identity and lead to no good.

Its not the LE. If it was LE they would have put a bug on your phone lines and/or a electronic tracer on your car. LE will follow at greater distance and you would not notice them. If it is not your imagination then it is likely PI's. Some of them are very good and some of them are very bad. Turn your car radio on to FM stations if you are getting static on the FM stations then check under your car especially under the back and front bumpers and wheel wells for an electronic tracer. The tracer if not a highly expensive one will screw up your FM radio stations. LE use high quality tracers and they would not be following at such short distances that you would notice them. As for bugging phones they do not have to actually enter your residence or office to do this. It can be done from outside of either your residence or office for voice intercepts.
If you see the van or another strange car parked outside of your residence or office for more than two hours and the car is occupied then you can call the police and report a strange vehicle. PI's are only allowed to watch and park for no more than two hours. Good Luck. GB

start with something simple dude: get plate # and description of vehicle, call 911 from your car and let them know where you are...its so fucking simple!

Flashing was not addressed. It seems obvious that it wouldn't be a crime to "flash" it (hold it publicly) in certain circumstances, such as when you buy it, when you take it out of your pocket to check if the safety is on, or when using it on certain unleashed aggressive, rabid or violent "animals".
Re using it being a crime, i wonder how many women who used it in attempted rape cases have been charged with a crime. I think LE would be high fiving them instead. Would it be legal for the woman being raped to knife the guy?

I'm still ok. Actually yesterday I left town and today the housekeeper was at my place. She said some guy was knocking and when she went to the door the handle started to turn. She opened up and he got surprised and said he had the wrong condo.
The incident with the van was an hour before I went to the airport. And possibly unrelated but now I remember a guy at the parking structure in Pearson and he was overly chatty and asked me where I was going. Gave me his business card - when the fuck does that happen? Never.
I'm pretty creeped out. Could be coincidental and I do feel slightly paranoid but something really weird is happening.

to the OP: whip out a video camera, turn down your window and start filiming the vehicle the next time you see it pursuing you... Make it clear that you are videotaping the guy.
