Folks,
Is there a way we can get an Unofficial Android Tips/Tricks thread going?
I must admit that Terb probably isn't the best place to start such a thread, but I figured it would be nice to have one to assist with new and existing Android users.
I'll start this off by adding a couple of my favourite apps.
1) AirDroid - Allows you to access your android device AND files remotely as long as you are on the same wireless network.
2) Call Control - Block unwanted calls/texts.
3) Lookout Security - Antivirus / anti-malware app for your precious phone. Also has location services in the event of a stolen or misplaced device.
4 ) Alarm Clock Extreme - For the folks who have trouble waking up in the morning. This app is CATERED for you. You can set it up so that you answer math questions, ranging from easy to hard, before it allows you to snooze. Better start working on those multiplication tables!
5) Any.Do - A nice and simple To-Do List app. You can set reminders and swipe to remove once the task has been completed.
6) Chrome for Android - This one is self explanatory. It's the Chrome Browser for Android phones. You can even sync it with your desktop Chrome browser, so you will always have your favourite websites with you!
