Two Italians, and four exotic vintage Hondas. Harder to get parts for a Honda 400 than a Ducati, life is strange. Cupid, the Monster is a wonderful bike? I remember mine fondly, never should have traded for a Streetfighter.

State of Inanity
I have three bikes, all BMWs. My favorite is a 15-year old R1100RT, which has been across Canada twice, and from here to NFLD four times.

Best memory was living in Vancouver and riding on Christmas Day three years ago, sending a picture of me on the Sea to Sky Highway in normal riding gear back to my friends in Ontario where they had a snowstorm. I froze my ass off (it was about 5C) but they didn't have to know that.

If this is the model that I am thinking of, it is one of the legendary bikes that ever came along.
CM it was a great bike. This is not my exact bike but it was this model and colour--KZ1000J

The next year they came out with the Eddie Lawson replica model which had a steeper rake.

I rode 20,000K on that bike, full out often, and never had as mutch as a twitch from her.

If I rember correctly it had a molly frame.

Nate1, yes that is the Kawi that I was thinking of. Awesome performance at 243k. I took my Hyabusa up to 260, but did not push it all the way to its 300 limit. It starts to be intimidating when speeds start getting up there. I think if I had owned bikes like these when I was a young man I would be dead :D

Be carefull guys. Cold tires don't stick so take it easy around corners.

In my teens in the UK, one of the bikes that I owned was a Royal Enfield and I had it hooked up to a Watsonian sidecar just like this. Sidecars require a very different skillset to regular bikes and can be a load of fun. Especially when the sidecar comes up in the air cornering :)

I would gladly pay YOU for this experience, Celticman. I'm going to make a leap and assume based on the picture that your teens in the UK were a couple decades ago - good thing, had we both been in our twenties in the same decade I predict you would have broken my heart, or at least had me so smitten that business would go out the window!

The hard part of this is to counter the reflex to lean the bike way over in a familiar corner. You have almost retrain the subconcious. Worse in the spring as there is lots of salt, sand and gravel added to the equation.

I have had several friends dump their bike going around a basic corner this time of year.. It's always one of those "One Last Ride" before storing it that you have the get-off. Take care

One of the big thrills in life is to pop a wheely. These days, if a cop sees it, you are facing a charge of stunt driving. 6 points, confiscation of bike etc. I only do it on a few country back roads in Durham.

Carlyn, you are being very kind to me by suggesting two decades. Keep counting :( So based on your comments, my new fantasy is to have been 20 when you were twenty :)

That one there is a wheelie machine. But otherwise perfectly balanced. Incredible bike.

Dumb and dumber mini bike

I think i'll trade my van for this mini bike with the kid in town. Jim Carrey swears by its mileage. I want one.
