Well Pupatello looks like a definite upgrade from the McQuinty but the stench might just linger from the current group. The worst performing government in any of the major portfolios in the history of Ontario.

Dwight Duncan announces that not only will he not seek the Liberal leadership he will not seek re-election.
That's actually a surprise-- I figured he'd try to go 'Full Martin'. Maybe he's hanging back to see how the Federal Liberal race goes, to try to swoop in as FM in waiting there.

It's time for a change, but the PC's need to put forward a credible candidate. If it's Hudak, we're getting Horwath. I think McGuinty has done a good job, but I also think three terms in office is enough for any party. Change is good in a healthy democracy, if only to remind the Pols that we voters can jerk their chains. It focuses their minds on our interests.

For the same reason why we need change in Ontario, we need change at the Federal level as well. Unfortunately, in both cases, the opposition looks like a train wreck.

The CONservative ship will be sinking after Hudak loses the next election.
The nice thing about Hudak is that the more people see him the fewer people vote Conservative. :) His party does all well and good right up until people have to listen to him.

Why is it not painfully obvious to the PC's that they will not win with Hudak at the helm?

Many PC's are more infatuated with a conservative ideology than providing good government that a majority of the people will vote for.

My prediction is Milloy takes the next exit.

Well, Conservatives certainly are fixated on 'an ideology', but I don't really know how small 'c' conservative it is. The Hudak brand of 'conservatism' didn't even win in Alberta, and he seems to lack the good sense to put the crazy in the basement (and to count on voter ignorance / a honeymoon period to do what damage he can).

The federal opposition is doing incredible and Harper is finally facing an official opposition that doesn't bend over and spread like the Liberals did, like your buddy justin did.

Well it was in the Harper How to Duck Contempt Findings playbook that his boss found the proroguing dodge.

Surely no one imagined he'd actually do the honourable thing and take the heat? No one else does.

Lol, I guessed that you'd find some way to pin this on Harper. You've only just stop blaming things on Harris. So can I take a page out of your book and blame everything on McQuinty for the next 8 years?

Actually now would be a good time for the Dippers to get elected - when we don't have any money. Maybe then the public sector unions will realize their complicity in all of this.

Or, maybe not. They might still continue with the previous regime's tax and spend mantra. However, we won't know until we try, although it might be a very costly experiment in the end.
