Depending on what exactly you want the Geek Squad to do (i.e. how complex it is), probably any young geek could do the same.

What specifically are you looking for?

put an ad up on Craigslist. Explain exactly what you're looking for. You'll get a bunch of responses.
you'll pay 1/4 of what you would pay with geeksquad

How is that any different from taking the recommendation from someone you've never met or know personally?

There are a lot of helpful peeps out there on the Internets

How is that any different from taking the recommendation from someone you've never met or know personally?
Fact is many peeps do this all the time on various 'help forums'.
Such as those belonging to Windows, Mac, Linux, HP, Dell, Asus, Toshiba, Samsung, Sony, Acer, etc, etc, etc.....;)

Re-read OP's post. I'm pretty sure he wants someone to come to his house.

I am just saying sorry maybe repeating myself but does the Geek squad have competitors ie a company that comes to your house and does the same service as a geek squad would do .

Was just pointing out like another did that setting that up does not look that difficult and may be solved by some online help that could give him the directions he needs to DIY...;)
