Bullied teen commits suicide in BC. This video is 10 minutes of the most heartbreaking cry for help that anyone can witness. I guess he bullies got what they wanted in the end. She was only in Grade 10 and she suffered for years. So sad.

The police should have arrested anyone who had the pics with possession of kiddie porn. I would think that would stop the bullies from posting them on FB or emailing them again.

I think a charge of murder would be appropriate. The bullying was intentional.

RIP young lady.

I posted the evils of Facebook - here is another victim. She was tracked down which is extremely easy to do.

Mounties didn’t respond for comment on whether they investigated the distributed pictures.
Here in this country, they probably won't do a thing. Then you have the US where a 30 yr. old female teacher has consensual sex with a 17 year old male and they lock her away for 30 years.

That's what they do here, too.

If this in fact true which I don't doubt, this is going to go seriously viral. I suspect every talk radio and news outlet will be talking about this tomorrow.

So completely sad. It seems like our children are being raised in a society where we have somehow failed at teaching them sympathy, empathy and compassion for others. Even as an adult we have seemed to forget the lesson some (depending on your age) of our parents attempted to teach us. We attack each other, for the most part, verbally. We attack each others character. There are many examples, sady, even on this site where people critize and call names. It is disheartening that we have lost traits (like i mentioned above) only to be replalced by hatred, greed and the need to feel better than others. Just my 2 cents.........

It's so sad that Amanda chose to focus on those that hate her. The video obviously shows there are people that cared about her. It's sad that she did not recognize that.

I don't understand why nobody would want to be her friend because she showed her boobs on webcam? When I was in school kids were never that uptight and plenty of flashing and other stuff was going on.

I would love to see the actual case you're referring to. I'm pretty sure you're wildly exaggerating either the sentence length or the facts of the case. Or both

Oh and legally speaking, pretty sure any sure any sex between a 17-year old, regardless of gender and a teacher, regardless of gender, is not consensual. Legally speaking.

What a sad story.
Everyone can learn something from this girl.
The message to bullies and victims is fairly obvious, but the message I hope adults get out of this is to keep our eyes open to how the young people in our lives are behaving and hopefully we can recognize when something is wrong early enough to lend a helping hand.

When bullying of the type described in Amanda's story take place it's extremely hard for the victim to choose to focus elsewhere. The attacks were malicious, repeated and broadcast through social media. She likely felt she couldn't escape or withstand the barrage. We truly need to take a zero tolerance approach with the people to participate in these activities and hold them fully accountable for their actions and the results thereof.

I am so sorry for Amanda and her family.
