Any Theatre goers?

Is anyone else here interested in theatre?
Some productions i have seen in the past were Fiddler on the Roof, Grease (was great). I saw West Side at the O'Keefe Centre when i was a kid and Riverdance there also in the 90's. Another one was Robert Stephens playing Sherlock Holmes at the O'Keefe also but forget which story it was about.

Last time for me was Rock of Ages. I should go and see something else that's good. I dunno about War Horse. I hear it's good but I just dunno.

Wow, seeing a show every decade or two counts as a theatre goer?
Check out No Great Mischief at Tarragon, great show.
Or the Crucible at Soulpepper, good production of a great and relevant piece of theatre.
Or better yet, see Michael Healey's Proud.

I've attended the opera a few times as well.

No i saw Riverdance when it was called the Hummingbird Center.

No just asking who has seen what. I don't classify myself as a theatre goer..........just mentioning the few I have seen.

It was actually amazing! Despite the title character being a puppet, I really got into the story. I saw the movie shortly after seeing the play, and I have to say, the play was MUCH better!

I bet! Yea the promos I saw for the play on TV looked outstanding!

That's quite common. I loved Les Miserable but I don't think the movie can remotely live up to the play. We'll see.

Been going to the theater for years. I like the afternoon performances with a nice leisurely dinner afterwords followed by a stroll by the lake.

"Wicked" was very good.
And I hate to admit it but Mama Mia was fun.
War Horse was good, but I enjoyed the movie more.

It was actually amazing! Despite the title character being a puppet,

I actually felt the puppetry enhanced the story, it wasn't so much a 'despite' the character being a puppet but because the title character was a puppet and how that character was brought to life it made the show that much more enjoyable. The puppets are intricate, they have great movement and the puppeteers were excellent at the small movements, the subtleties that brought the animal to life, at least that was how I experienced it. I found it was a great story not just one about the war and the horses that gave their lives for so many soldiers but the simple story of our connection with animals, that feeling of love and loss that many of us first experienced with our first family dog (or cat, etc.) when you spend all of your days playing and growing with that animal only to realise that their lives are cut so short compared to ours and sometimes in unjust and violent ways.
