I accept the police's allegation that there was an underage girl working there and strongly applaud them for taking action to stop it and arrest the guy and the woman. They should serve 3-5 years jail time.

But these neanderthals just can't help themselves with having to shove their weight aroiund and use 3-4 of them for muscle to tackle him. Have they not learned their lessons of how these douchebags get off on such meathead tactics?

I love the idea of the publicity of TV coverage of the bust but the brash grandstanding of these cowboys will come back to haunt them.

Cops need some serious PR help if they are going to remain relevant and effective.. 4tees?
No kidding.

Do your underage thing under the radar and ensure the penalties are enforced.

Toronto will not rid itself of the sex trade, they just want to contain it in a low-key non-descript manner...not to mention that their licensing fees are nothing but a silent "Pimps Take" on an otherwise illegal business.

Reality check folks...What is a body-rub license?

Reporter Tamara Cherry....love it.They must have this guy dead to rights. If he walks, he's got grounds for a massive lawsuit....possibly even his mom.I can only imagine that guy they caught leaving was having his worst day ever.I never got the "spa" experience. Why not just climb into a lion cage and whip out your cock?

Doesn't surprise me, it's a shame that they hired an underage girl and they've treated their customers like shit in the past. Will this place be closed up?

Anyone wonder why the York Regional Police did this bust? It's in Toronto. Even if the YRP got a hold of information it should have been passed to Toronto Vice. It's weird because Toronto never goes into York. Something fishy here.....

You are so right! It was a matter of time. It's more because it's a 16 year old girl. Who sick guy would pay for a 16 yr old? Where the f__k is the parents ! Totally lost! Let see what happens next. This might concern us terbites with LE implications.
You really think she announced herself as 16? She probably looked older and acted older. 99% o fmen won't be able to distinguish a 16 year old from an 18 year old much less a rough 16 year old.

I was wondering the same thing. May be they are not getting much cooperations from Toronto police. I know a few Toronto police officers who are going around to some asian spas and getting freebie services. Some guys are pretty stupid knowing those spas have lots of cameras every where. Some guys are seeing them regularly and some even dating some mpas. One asian mpa I saw 2 months ago told me proudly her BF is a cop.

You're supposed to be 18 to get a license. The city wont give you one without valid ID. So douche bag Sal A) doesn't have a license and B) should have asked for one before she started working. The guys a scumbag and has tons of priors. He knew full well how old she was and couldn't care less.

This is totally disturbing, sad, and sickening. Other spas in the north york area may be on radar now or I am just being paranoid? :) I will just stick to Brampton spas for time being.
Quite paranoid. For clients, hobby where u know rules are followed. No matter where a spa is located, having under agers will get this type of result. Its not the area, its the act.

That said, there is no mention if the girl was in fact licensed. If so, that then falls on the city for licensing an under age girl.

I follow both toronto news and massage parlours will a high amount of interest.
I follow news stories about toronto massage parlours even more so.

In June 1999 I was at Bloor and Spadina on the day two busts went down.
Police spokesman Ron Tavernor said they were simultaneous.
I was there and know it wasnt the case.
It seems to be common practice for police to invent things

From The Star
was raided by police Friday evening.
Since when is 4pm in August considered evening?

Police officers found the 16-year-old girl working inside the spa during the raid, MacKenzie said.
Is this true? I don't recall reading this on Friday. Wasn't it reported that she was found upstairs? Wasn't it stated that all the girls inside the spa were of age.

I think we might see Teddy Greenspan taking the police to task

Not to cast aspersions on anything else you've written, as I am no expert here, but this has got to be the most trivial inconsistency I have ever seen pointed out as being an example of why the media and/or police can not be trusted.

The industry is largely tolerated and there is no excuse for any underage bullshit.
I have zero sympathy.
Unless the cops are mistaken about the girl`s age and what she was doing, throw the book at them.
Agreed.

If he was employing a 16 year old girl - he (the owner) deserves everything he gets.

I do not understand why MPs don't have a strict policy of 21 and up (I believe Allure does). I realize 18 is legal, but even 18 is too young and too easy to fake.

Everyone loses in this situation... If the owner knowingly had a 16yr old on staff you gotta think – getting busted on your mom's front lawn, in front of her neighbours, broadcast on the nightly news – has got to be a brutally humiliating pill to take, at least as tough as the repercussions from today onward. The patron with the red shirt getting into his car; what a nightmare. No one wants to be that dude. The girl, how can she get her life back together after what she's been doing.

I agree with Romeo. The way this guy was busted was great TV, but is this professional police work or reporting? It looks like LE invited CFTO to participate in a busting a guy who, might be, innocent of these serious charges. The guy may very well be a scumbag, but he might be a scumbag doing nothing illegal, just like select news directors and cops. Is this guy really being presumed innocent when his face is clearly shown on the news? Nope.
The cops are simply sending a message to those in the sex industry who employ underage girls.

"You do this? This is what happens"
