There are professional people who go there, but yes, a superficial crowd too of male players and party girls looking for Mr. Hand$ome (not industry girls, although there are those too and I can vouch 1st hand).I've found large parts of King West, and places like Pravda and South of Temp to be all very superficial places, full of superficial people. Or maybe I'm just too old now.

I like K Douglas' idea of the Esplanade. Geez I remember years ago going to Sherlock Holmes on a Sunday night and it was a great meeting place.
When I used to work in those gleaming towers at King and Bay, we used to hit the bars near the theatre district. All professionals (accounting, law, banking, finance, real estate, engineering and investments).
The best way is to be part of a broad group of other professionals who interact socially. Whether its kayakers or running room types or through ski lessons or the tennis club or or going to big family BBQ's at a co-worker's cottage, you need to be part of a group of professionals who have extended family/friends of the same ilk, so you can meet a variety of professional women and pick the one that best suits you.

Earls on I believe York st by king seems to be a hot spot for that type too. Check out all the various art festivals in the city over the summer too.
Not sure if the laws are that different in Canada, but here in the states a huge benefit of dating professional women is that when you marry then divorce you are much more likely to pay little or no alimony.

There are "dating consultants" who help set up encounters among various groups of professionals, but I'm very hesitant to name any such folks here as far too many would try to pick up a woman who was not on the market - one of the reasons they're single being that they don't know which girls to focus their attention on.
I would disagree with this.
In my experience, the better educated a woman, the wilder she is in the sack and the more open she is to trying various forms of sexuality. I know I'm generalizing (but we all do it), but in my experience the uneducated women seem far more hung up on various sexual things being "humiliating" and as a result, they flat out refuse to do them.
If I was to speculate, it would be because the better educated woman tends to be well read, more curious about many things, more open to new ideas and less entrenched in her outlook. The lesser educated women tend to be conscious of society looking down on them and sex (especially sex that is perceived as humiliating) gets thrown into the same pot and they react the same way by becoming defensive.
Since better educated women tend to be professionals by and large, ergo by extension, professional women are better (in general) in bed.
In my experience (again generalizing) nurses tend to be fantastic kinky women in the bedroom. I've known a few over they years and they were unstopable and open to just about anything.

But short answer to a long question: the reason I'm trying to date within the university educated, career oriented crowd is for commonality of values and goals. Education, hard work and ambition (not the ruthless kind) is important and then of course, there are other values too.
As I've grown older, I realize that I can only respect people who work hard, retain their humility and try to improve themselves and give to others every day. So that's why.
And yeah....I do use that dumb line LOL!
I spend a fair bit of time with professional women and I am not sure that most or even many of them fulfill your criteria.
If you're looking long term - i.e. marriage and kids, it's always better to pair up with a smarter woman than a dumb woman. Beauty fades, but stupid lasts forever as they say.

Female children can get their intelligence from either parent. Long and short of it - if you want bright children, you need to marry a bright woman. Now I'm not saying that non-professional women are always dumb, don't get me wrong. But odds are that an educated woman is usually bright. (Not always.)

I am attracted to intellect. But I've realized that it's not education. If anything, education tends to foster pomposity. I love women who are shrewd and street smart. A woman who can figure it out or negotiate her way out of sticky situation.
I suppose I should be hanging out at 361 University Ave....
I'd have more respect for a woman who can avoid sticky situations without having to figure or negotiate, unless it involves my cum.
There are quite a few very good looking lady lawyers in POF. I dated one lady lawyer 2 yrs back thro' POF , didn't work out well cuz she's too argumentative needless to say she was a lawyer. lol. I found 2 very good looking asian lawyers in POF last month they both responded to my approach quite nicely saying I was way too old for them haha. One is 28 and another one was 32.
Grocery shopping late evening: If she's dressed well, has no ring and is hanging around the cucumber section you're golden!
I find when women are shopping, they only have ONE thing on their mind - shopping. Hitting on a woman whilst she is shopping is an excercise in futility.
