What are some of your favourite U.S. cities? I've been to many cities around the world, but I haven't travelled that extensively in our beautiful neighbouring country down south.

Some of my favourite U.S. cities that I've been to are NYC, Chicago, Boston, Anchorage, Miami, Orlando, Newport, Bar Harbour.

Cities that I'd love to visit soon but haven't been to yet are LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Antonio, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. (going there in 2 weeks), Honolulu, Phoenix, Austin.
San Francisco is probably the most beautiful city in North America and has everything - it should be high on your list, Hawaii yes but Honolulu no, go to a remote island and your in paradise.... Scottsdale, Minneapolis, Washington DC (not to be missed), Philadelphia, Buffalo (just kidding), Austin, San Diego, Portland OR, Seattle, Vegas is vegas, it's less a city and more an adult amusement park..... actually I could come up with a dozen more....

Toronto
NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Austin, Seattle. Had great times at all of those.

The one big city I did not really care for was LA.

Scottsdale. Mmmmm.

All the clowns who think Toronto girls are smoking hot should go there for a week. Won't hear them spout that nonsense when they're back.

The whole West Coast is beautiful. Start in Washington State, Oregon and California. Take in Seattle, Portland and San Franciso.

Yeah when I went down there didn't see a ton of hot girls where I stayed (in old Scottsdale). However, the ones I did see were absolutely stunning. They care about their appearance even if they're going out to the grocery store. I fell in love with this little hispanic stripper who I ended up convincing to take out for drinks until her brother quashed that idea................I still have dreams about her.
Didn't touch Vegas though, for the 4 days I was there I couldn't pick my tongue up off the ground. Unbelievable.

I haven't been to California or Miami but I'm sure one or more of those cities would end up in my top 5.

Austin and Santa Fe are worth a visit. Austin has a great music scene. If I was an alcoholic, the French Quarter in New Orleans is where I would want to live. The party never stops.

Philly, PA.

Great city, historically important, old colonial feel, majestic looking buildings and interesting architecture. Market Street, Little Italy and historic Chinatown all points of note.

Only two hours drive from NYC.

The high concentration of them are at the club district between E Camelback and N Scottsdale.

Did you go down there at night? So much eye candy and so hot.

San Fran.

Since you are talking about being a tourist, Vegas and New Orleans should definitely be on the list, though I would never willingly live in either of those cities. They are a lot of fun to visit, though. They are the only two US cities that I've gone to, just for a vacation, more than once.

I used to live in SF, and I had a great time there. If you go to SF I would strongly suggest making it an extended visit. It is not so much a city full of touristy things to do, as it is just a great place to be, just a lot of cool stuff happening all the time.

Any large city in Tennessee. My personal favorite is Knoxville. It may not have big city charm but the people are the most polite americans I have ever met and the women are VERY accomodating. Plus kick ass BBQ and gun ranges with very liberal laws regarding renting guns for an afternoon of pop and shoot.

Big fan. Great music scene too!

I love NYC.

I went there twice, each trip was one week in length and I didn't repeat a single activity and honestly if I were to go back a third time I'm sure I could fill a week with more new stuff.

If you like Toronto, have to go with NYC as well.

Don't laugh, but for GTA types, Cleveland is a great place to go. It's a reachable short drive (5 hours ). The downtown is clean and safe. The Historic Warehouse District has a great party atmosphere with restaurants and bars and music and areas closed off to traffic. It's a short walk to Browns Stadium for football, Quicken Loans Arena for the basketball Cavaliers, Progressive Field for the baseball Indians, the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame for music etc. I've spent 2 or 3 weekends there and always had a good time.

Pittsburg is in the same category, both distance and entertaiment-wise plus good shopping on the way down at Grove City Premium Outlets.
I agree. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alone makes Cleveland worth a visit, and like you say its only 5 hours away and there is enough other stuff downtown to make it a worthwhile weekend getaway. House of Blues is a fine place to hang out after dinner. Yes the suburbs are rust belt, but who goes to the suburbs on a weekend getaway?
