Oh look, the children who argue Hitler is a symbol of peace and that we can trust Iran talk about the quality of sources.

Are you saying those statements were not made?

But if you want another how about:

“The Zionist regime is a true cancer tumor on this region that should be cut off,” the supreme leader said. “And it definitely will be cut off.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world...ed-satellite/2012/02/03/gIQARNuDmQ_story.html

The two of you have reached the point of delusional in missing the positions Iran have taken against Israel and the Jewish people.

But I guess the whole west has been fooled and only the two of you have figured it out.

Retract...sure thing Sherlock.

Yes, retract.
That's not 'calls for genocide'.
That's a call to end a regime, or government, not a people.
So yes, go ahead and retract your claim.

Dream on. You run from the meaning of his words into the arms of peaceful Hitler. Iran is a pariah nation, lead by hateful fanatics, and your fantasies do not change the reality on the ground.

“The Iranian nation is standing for its cause and that is the full annihilation of Israel,” Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi said in a speech to a defense gathering Sunday in Tehran.
Your silly little games arn't fooling anybody.

Time for Iran to live by its word, or face the consequences of dishonesty and hate mongering. What a pity a nation has such terrible leadership.

That one is closer, much better effort.
But still, no call for genocide.
He's still just got a hate on for the state of Israel.

Where are the 'calls for genocide'?

Perhaps...but not as parched as Iran is these days.
They do seem to know the difference between an ideology and a country. Unlike you. But it does give an insight into how unsophisticated your thinking is.

Right Israel is a country, Zionism is an ideology.

As I quoted before:

“The Iranian nation is standing for its cause and that is the full annihilation of Israel,” Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi said in a speech to a defense gathering Sunday in Tehran.
Note the reference to annihilation of a nation, no mention of an ideology.

Keep telling your silly little lies. Nobody is falling for them. And people who are dishonest like you, just make Iran more of a pariah.

Oh, I checked your source. You consider the Daily Caller a credible source on foreign news? It has no foreign correspondents and the reporter for this story is pictured wearing a mask. Stop wasting our time with marginal sources. Most of all, stop embarrassing yourself.

Found a bit more info on the quote.
Missing from your quote and article is the qualifier, 'if Israel attacks'.

Hajizadeh explained that if the Zionist regime attacks Iran, it will be destroyed. He said, “If those people make a move, it will hand us a justification to wipe them off the face of the earth.”
From Juancole.com

This is not even a threat against Israel, its a warning. Nowhere does he threaten to attack Israel first, only that if Israel attacks they will 'wipe the country out'. A stupid warning against a country with a hundred or so nukes, but not a threat.

Now you Iranian radicals have to make up your minds. Was the statement never made or was it a warning.

In the real world, we all know it can't be both...

So, you can't understand why a scholar is relied upon before a guy wearing a mask? Speaks volumes about your acumen.

Juan cole is a scholar? Thought he's studied the history of religion (and not actually the middle east or politics), he is known as simply a blogger. He's about as academic when it comes to politics as Chomsky.

(I will admit that unlike you and grog, he has no problem speaking out about Iran's leadership)

There's low-level "technical" talks ongoing right now in Turkey between Iran & the IAEA, to try to gauge whether theres enough common ground or potential for a deal to be reached to justify having another round of high-level discussions. Irans' been trying to extend these talks beyond the US election, in an effort to "de-politicize" the process, while the west now will try to drag out the talks to make the new sanctions really sting. All the while, the existing civilian nuclear program continues to grow (and at the same time, there still hasn't been a Stevenson moment providing any actionable proof of a current weapons program).
Don't expect anything to come from these talks, the two sides just aren't working towards anything resembling a realistic workable agreement (IMO)
