WTf is up with some SP's?

Although I am not a member of other boards, I do read them on occasion. In one board, there is a posting by a SP looking for help to move and a cosigner for her new place...which she hasn't found yet...really? This is the same board where there was a huge SP fight a few days ago with one sleeping with another one's BF, one hacking an internet account, one trying to keep the peace and being totally clueless and one ending up in the psycho ward of a hospital...seriously...WTF is going on with some SP's??

LOL. as entertainning as i find it o read about how completely stupid some of these girls are...it really makes me wonder if they should all check into the loony bin for a while.

Like a lot of people, they procrastinate doing necessary planning of something difficult and time consuming. Some are dysfunctional in that they hope the problem will just go away!

Let her hit the bottom. That's the only way she will learn. I had helped out a Viet mpa a few yrs back, giving her a job at my company, paying her a decent salary plus 3-4000 a month not knowing how heavily she was into it. It was a waste of my time and money.

I feel that if clients had their lives in order, there would be no market for SPs, so there wouldn't be any SPs. The more fucked up a client's life and the client's past and the client's work related stresses and the client's family related stresses - the better for SPs!

I like to think I have my life in pretty good order.

I make SOOOOO much money the day right after a long weekend! I wonder why that is...

i'm sure you can handle yourself fine...but being a client,i have run into many SPs who have been on drugs, had crazy BFs, a family that outcasted them etc etc..not saying clients are on the good either( i'm sure there are a tonne that have some serious issues) but i believe the OP was stating this about the group of ladies on the blue MILF board, who have been outted for there lack of professionalism. btw you're frickin hot...jus sayin

When my life wasn't in order, I wasn't a very good SP - I was very cranky after all, my life wasn't in very good order. Now, however, I like to think I have my life in pretty good order and so I'm happy and so clients repeat with me more than they ever did before - also I am able to work more giving clients easier access to my body - because of course, when my life wasn't in very good order I cancelled every other call! Ain't that somethin?

I haven't read the other board because I don't read other Toronto Boards but assuming his summarization is absolutely accurate and not at all a caricature of what actually went on (which I have doubts about) let me attempt: WTF is wrong with some SPs?: How old are these girls? (Rhetorical question). To some extent all of those girls mentioned in the OP's post sound pretty vulnerable and unstable to me which is place most people trying to grow up have visited. If they choose to write all this on the internet, they probably are sincerely looking for help - constructive help (as opposed to sexual innuendo) or they don't have a space besides the internet to vent or rant or, you know what, I don't know what their motivation is but I am fairly confident it is not to feel “stupider” than they already feel and that it's related to getting support, NOT getting “convincing” because supporting is different from convincing.

WTF is wrong with these clients? They forget that they were young once and made similarly seemingly "stupid" choices and because they are older and more mature (not "mature" but "more mature" comparatively, I mean) now, they feel they are above those girls which makes it easier to tighten up their judgepants, sit back and eat metaphorical popcorn for shits and giggles without for a minute feeling even remotely ashamed of themselves for watching “collisions unfold”. Also, because comparatively in their head they are self-coronated Don Drapers and Einsteins and Bill Gates and Tarzans, they have this sense of entitlement that because they are older and therefore better, everyone should give a shit about their opinion and SPs should delight at being the recipients of those opinions.

Private versus public: People have breakdowns and when people have breakdowns, they aren’t very lucid. Unfortunately for SPs, they tend to always be online for obvious reasons. I would encourage grown ups to behave as grown-ups (as opposed to little kids on a playground) and realize that an online breakdown is not fair game just because it’s public and online and that sometimes SPs just need to empty themselves out.

I too occasionaly read 'the other board', but rarely post because it seems that many of the 'more prolific' posters (both male anf female) just gossip. I read the post the OP is reffering to (just because) and there is innuendo in it. Just because she is offering barter of services in exchange for help.

On another note why I do not read/post there often, this particular SP has quite a few aggressive and ego-centric (if that is a word) posts. She has actually been off-putting, so I'm surprised she is asking board members for help.

Kareena - very well thought out response...however, with the exception of one SP that I originally referred to, I believe the rest are considerable older (not necessarily more mature) than you are, one even claims to be a grandmother. I agree that discretion seems to have gone out the window in recent years with the increased popularity of the Internet, however since these Sp's are from another generation, one would think they should know better...perhaps not...and yes, the generality of the client/SP relationship is very disfunctional from both sides, but I guess I don't understand the reason for posting private situations in a public environemtn then expecting everything to be rosy. Hell, I'm not even all that interested in their particular situations, just more curious as to why they would post in public forums in the first place? Perhaps the sense of entitlement and the quest to get sympathy or something for nothing...Seems like a generational issue but it should be coming from 20 somethings, not these ones.
