There's this guy who fixes PS3's at Scarborough Dragon Centre, Sheppard/Glen Watford. No matter how big or how small the job is, it's $180. I had an old PS2 compatible unit repaired. He did a fabulous job. He pretty much replaced all parts including a PS2 compatible main board. It's still running perfect. I don't know if he's still around. I tried all the Chinese malls to no avail before bumping into this guy. Refurbished lens on eBay cost about $60 and up pending model. Unless you are tech savvy, you might as well buy a new one instead of having it fixed. He also buys PS3's in any condition for $80. I think you need to include a joystick as well. Now that was a few years ago, I am not sure if the price (repair or buy) has dropped. This might be an option if no one buys from you.
Hope you don't mind me being nosy. Just trying to help.
