Hi Everyone!

I am very new here and will be visiting the East Coast this summer.

If anyone can offer any suggestions about great places to visit and of course the best places to shop lol

I am getting excited as I have never been further then Winnipeg!

Down east is great place to visit and Peggys cove, the Bay fundy park, and Moncton magnetic hill lots of wild life parks( if you are animal lover lol) Haifax downtown is nice with tours of the city and Harbour etc. My area is Niagara Falls nice to see and have marineland and casino right by. Hope you get to see lots on your adventure and enjoy

I heard Peggy's Cove is a must see and I am planning on stopping there...since I am driving the whole way, it will be very easy to take in some of the sights. I will be stopping in small towns as well as larger centres because I want to experience all of Canada.

Does anyone know about the river that runs backwards? I heard it is in New Brunswick? Is it close to the highway?

Hotel info (ones that don't require elevator keys) would be helpful as well ;)

And yes, I will be wearing my new purple lingerie!

This is near Moncton, which is close to the N.B. / N.S. border. I wasn't all that impressed, but maybe it wasn't a particularly high tide that day.

In Nova Scotia, you should drive the Cabot Trial, starting on the east side and going around counter clockwise - this way you're driving on the outside of the road all the way for the best views down to the coast.

Have a great trip, just hope the gas prices come down for you...

The Bruce Peninsula is also very nice, go all the way to Tobermory . Also, when in Niagara don't miss the jet boat ride!

Take a plane or train, otherwise be prepared to look at nothing for 4000+ km

This is 99.9% of canada

Maybe the photo is 99% of Canada between Calgary and Winnipeg, but there's a lot more to see than that. Ms EM's location is recorded as Victoria, B.C., so she'll be driving through the Rockies which is nothing less than amazing, even if you've done it many times. Sure, the prairies are flat, but the times I've driven through I've enjoyed it. It really does have its own beauty. North of Superior is pretty spectacular as well. She might not enjoy driving in the Toronto area, especially if holysmoke is on the roads. I haven't driven much in the Maritimes, but from what I remember it's pretty nice there.

But if you have time, driving is the way to go.

I'm told the waterfall into my pool on a hot summers day is quite something to behold. Just a thought. :)
