Corporate Loyalty...Why??

Why are some people so enamoured with corporate entities? Apple especially seems to create doe-eyed followers who push the corporate agenda at the expense of reason and logic. Having a superior product is one thing, but how does a company so brainwash it's consumer market that they adopt the corporate line as a mantra?

I like Apple, but love my Samsung Galaxy. I like Nike, but will try on New Balance. Will I ever argue about the working conditions in Indonesia for the maker of my golf clubs to my golfing buddies? Not a chance!

Corporations are LITERALLY faceless entities that exist to make money. They don't care about you, your loyalty or the number of posts on TERB, except where it affects shareholder value.

Am I alone here? Does anyone else find this devotion a little unnatural?

sheeples - those who go for whatever is hyped (doesn't need to be an apple) even if the current stuff they own isn't out-of-date...just to be...y'know... one of the "cool kids".
...and then there are apple fanboys...

It's only "devotion" until Apple starts making crappy products. Then everyone will move on to the next big thing.

You're over-thinking this way too much. Why do you care what products other people like? Move on.

Agreed. I love Apple because all the products that I have brought so far have been awesome. If the products start to suck or a competitor comes up with something cheaper and better, I wouldn't use them anymore.
