Your question has sparked some interesting thoughts. When I met Loki a year ago I had been using a picture on my PM chat window, and I shared them with perspective clients. I also talked to a few that seemed serious about booking me on MSN. Loki was my first client, and he booked me solid on the condition I remove all pics and stop sending them to people.
He had long term things with other SPs before me, but they never went that far. I mean down the path of becoming a full time rl relationship. I wonder if he would have wanted me if he had been my 100th client instead of my first?
