Recent "accident" on the 401

Scammers stop hoping you hit them
If you stop then they go into reverse to hit you
and you are automatically "at fault"

What kind of hair on the scammer?
He almost seems like a south asian Kramer from Seinfeld

Licence plate # BJAL 996
Don't get scammed by this guy!

Perhaps a baseball bat would be preferable?

That guy should be charged. I believe it is illegal to reverse on a highway. Not to mention any fraud charges if possible.

The person who had the camera should have called the cops himself. When dealing with a scammer, you don't know if he's calling his buddies to come beat the crap out of you after you've cornered him.

If someone were to find a shallow grave and put the guy into it, I would object strongly. Dig the grave nice and deep, use an abandoned outhouse. Scamers ruin trust and trust is very important to a functioning society, it is in some ways much worse than giving someone a shot in the head.

http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motora...-one-driver-500-insurance-scam-164225518.html

According to the poster, the video has been shared with Toronto police and his insurance company, with no authority yet demanding he pay for damages to the Acura. The payment-demanding driver also tried to argue that it's illegal to set up a dash cam; not only is it perfectly legal

Ha ha ha - what an idiot
.. and the good police are doing nothing!

Is this the scammer?

Isn't it some form of crime to purposly drive into someone? Can't the driver press charges?

La la land
I been looking at dashcam for the past 6 months. They have come down on price.
Also what I have learned is this.

It is better if the cam makes a new file every 2 mins. (reason it is easier to find the time of accident in a small file say 2meg as opposed to 3gig.)
Ipod can be a dash cam but it makes one large file of your driving.
Make sure the cops don't use it against you for speeding.
So learn about your warrants, your rights if cops can grab it without permission etc.

I haven't decided on a cam yet.

The story below the video says the cop refused to watch the video because it was a minor accident. WTF. The guy should have been hauled off in cuffs on the spot.

Uthayakanthan Thirunavukkarasu pleaded guilty Friday to charges related to 13 collisions in Scarborough in 2007.

13 fake car crashes raked in $1.2M for criminal mastermind

Insurance fraudster pleads guilty
In your second link, the article...
"One teenaged passenger-victim suffered “severe and permanent brain injury” as a result of a May 7, 2007 collision near Birchmount Rd. and Mack Ave."

What a fucking prick, I hope the judge takes this into serious consideration and gives him a hard sentence.

Not a fan of CITYTV, but their people got the shot here.
