Ok folks need a lil help & advice here.

Presently I belong w/Telus (even when they were called Clearnet) never really had a problem with them for the past 15 yrs.
Both Fido & Telus have a promotion going on with getting the Galaxy Nexus both @ $99.00

If I want to upgrade w/Telus I'll have to payout my existing contract which would be $255.00 purchase then phone is @ $99.00
for another 3yrs w/Telus and they also going to charge me like the activation fee of $35.00 if i recall which totals like $380.00

If i switch to Fido i still end up paying the $255.00 to cancell with Telus however they an additional promo where I can trade in
my current phone value @ $80 which will be subtracted for purchasing the phone to like $20.00 and they are also waiving the
$35 activation fee as well. Then I just left picking out a plan which is works out to like $60.00 and with taxes & everything about
$6.00 more I am paying mothly to Telus.

Not sure how customer service is with Fido and wondering is it worth to switch too.

I would stick with Telus. Speak with customer retention if you have been a customer for 15 years I am sure they will work something out for you.

If you already have a sim card, no activation is required, just put the card in the new phone. If you talk to telus (not someone at a store front) you could likely get a better deal on the upgrade.

Stay with Telus. I have not dealt with fido myself, but they are part of rogers. I was a long time rogers customer and left for bell (telus uses the same network). The service on my phone has been considerably better than it was with rogers.

They all f'ing blow.
That said, I was with Telus for 10 years (since Clearnet days) then last year they offered me fuck all for renewal, so I left.

Few friends are on Fido and they haven't had problems, but that said, they all suck ass in the end. :)

Fido gives fido dollars. Other then that they are all the same. I'm with Telus but will be leaving soon. Horrible customer service.

There's great information on how to negotiate with the big 3 via Google.

Tenure goes a long way with the carriers.

I've been with fido for many years, and my best strategy for contentment has been to deal with them (or any carrier) as little as possible.

Right, and that is why, after nine years with Hell, they nearly fucked me over for $600 at the end of my 'contract' with them. Tenure has no value to any of these ruthless mothers.

Sorry to hear that.

I've had no bad experiences and my tenure is good. I have a friend with Rogers that been with them for 15 years. Retention would offer him great deals, too.

*** UPDATE ***
So I called Telus and they offered me plan where even the person at the Telus store was jealous as they person said they don't ususally offer this promo any longer
the plan is really from Saskatchewan they are giving me an additional 500 mins (I don't even use up my 200 to begin with) increase my data plan from 1G to 5G
also getting Local Nights & Weekends starting @ 5pm & caller ID for free too withOUT uping my monthly payment.

So I guess I stuck with em for another 3 years :D

There you go, good to see you got what you wanted.

Question, why are they upping your monthly payment? If you barely use any voice, I'd settle for 200 minutes and try to get more features for free (unlimited SMS, voice mail, etc).

I don't understand.

You don't use 200 minutes: going to 500 mins has no value to you.
And while you don't say how much data you use, I would guess that 1G is plenty for you: going to 5G has minimal value at best.

So you committed to 3 years for caller id?
