so in a way he has acknowledged the accusations against him did happen... why else would he bow out?

Well that IS the logical way to view this.
However logic usually matters little to Republicans....:eyebrows:

Because he was never a serious candidate to begin with. Book deal and future speaking engagements. Hell maybe even TV. Whole lotta money there.

Can you imagine this moron as President of the United States. That would be scary. This guy would be worse than George W. Bush (not sure if that's possible). Putting all the accusations aside - this guy is still the perfect moron. Every thing that comes out of his mouth is pure non-sense !!!

can't disagree... saw one of his interview. he's a pure businessman. Had no freaking clue what was going on around the world and in Libya when asked what he would do different from Obama. Took him about a minute think about teh question asked, then tried to change the subject and again ask "Sorry, so what was it exactly you were asking about Libiya"? ><

It would be awesome. Are you kidding me? You'd have the secret service escorting him to bootycalls, his babymamas showing up for child support and possible big black cock videos from all his escapades. He'd also be lighting joints in the oval office and cancelling afternoon meetings due to "itis". More importantly, he would truly be the first black president. Hell, Obama's the whitest black dude I've ever seen!

After GWB I give anybody a shot at the presidency--none could be as bad--could they, lol

I was hoping Cain would get the nomination, then these racist rednecks down south would have to vote for a black person or not vote, ha ha.

No I don't think it was that. Just an excuse. He got out because he was truly clueless. The man didn't know anything. He would have been eaten alive in a national debate one on one. Better now then later. Saves him the embarrassment.

that too but why the hell would he bow out because he thought he was clueless... he was doing really well on the polls before the sexual harassment accusations

Because he couldn't keep it up. That dog and pony show was only good for so long. With all the questions on politics and policy he couldn't answer I think it finally dawned on him he was in way over his head. There are several people on this board who have a better grip of issues then Herman Cain, both left and right. The man is a sad example of what politics in the US has become.

based on your assumptions, Rick Perry should've jumped off the cliff weeks ago.

Rick Perry is too stupid to even find a cliff.

There we have one of the most intelligent responses I've read. The man is not stupid at all, however, he is not well versed in politico-military affairs or foreign relations.

He's ignorant, and not fit to be running for a major office. I will tolerate many things from a political candidate. I will not tolerate someone being willfully uninformed.

He's ignorant
That's the correct term. I don't believe he's stupid either, but he is plainly ignorant. There is also a very real risk that he is a man of poor moral character. When you run for office, you are not innocent until proven guilty, it is your job as a candidate to prove to voters that you are the right person for the job. It's good enough to say "I haven't been proven guilty" in court, but it's not good enough to say "I haven't been proven corrupt" in an election. In an election voters expect you to prove your merit, and fair or unfair, the questions under Cain's characters mean that he is currently unelectable.
