Leaving if you don't like what you see on a first "date"?

Hi guys,

I am just curious how many of you got into a situation where you were disappointed with the looks of an SP and whether you decided to call it off before starting the session.
And, what was the SPs reaction. Did you have to pay the "cancellation fee"?

Cheers,
H.

the only time i would consider cancellation fee is for outcalls to your place. so they dont cause a scene but never for incall

Not when I have been duped by an ad (bait & switch), if the picture or description isn't correct. That's the cost of their "doing business"... I just calmly tell them that they are not (whatever) and leave... I don't make a scene just quietly turn and leave.

If it's bait and switch, absolutely... turn around and leave, as others have said it's the the cost of running a shady business, eventually they just might learn. But if you're not attracted to her or you don't like her appearance or any other subjective matter, the gentlemanly thing to do would be to leave her something for her trouble and to lessen the chance of a scene. She did book the time for you, and if you hadn't booked she might have been able to book with someone else who isn't as picky or concerned about whatever subjective matter bothered you. Yes, it's your money, but it's her time, and her time is worth something.

If you can't afford to write off 40-50 bucks on the off chance you don't click with someone, then you shouldn't be taking part in this as a hobby.

Well I guess it all depends on what you call "bait and switch"...most people define b&s as the pics are of another girl entirely, usually stolen. So even if it is her in the pictures, there are a multitude of reasons why someone would be jusitified in walking away. We recently heard in a thread of someone bolting because he had a special request for an outfit...he asked for something special, it was promised but wasn't provided, so he is in his right to walk away. Other reasons include: age or weight is clearly not as posted, the place is messy, dirty, smells of smoke, weed or whatever (could be a turn off for some, a health issue or a dead giveaway when he gets home for others), poor hygiene, she is drunk/stoned/high on something, safety reasons such as someone else is in the room/closet lol etc...So while the pictures may be real, there are situations where the client is entirely justified to turn around and leave, period, no cancellation fee, but with a polite explanation of why of course.

Totally agree. Looks are not everything. I posted here that I didn't want to go with an SP when I saw 3 pimps around the porch of the house. Sorry, but I don't have to pay her a cancellation fee for that. It's her responsibility to get those pimps out of sight.

Of course bait and switch covers all bait and switch not just the fake or stolen photos and yes certainly if the situation appears to be dangerous or your spidey senses are tingling, for sure get out. But when it's a subjective matter that is beyond the control of the provider one should man up and pay up. The dude who bolted because of the special request for an outfit should have stayed , it was likely a simple oversight and she had everything else to a T all but one minor detail, while yes it was important to him, it could have been a point of conversation and discussion and who knows where it could have lead to ? A missed opportunity but to each their own.

I appreciate the the situation. However, when a client discusses the services before hand and then is not provided the agreed upon service (with the addition of unpleasant behavior), shouldn't the client get a break too? I mean some of us don't have a money tree growing in the backyard you know, to just play by the red board rules, and just move on.

Thanks to terb we don't have to worry about that. I agree that cancelation fee should be provided if the client cancels the appointment or just walks away. That said, please note that the supply of SPs are far less compared to the demand from clients so even if a client walks away, the SPs don't necessarily lose anything as they can easily make it up later the same day or the following day.

My many good SP friends have told me that cancellation on average at the end of the month doesn't really affect the income they generate. But I guess to each his/her own.

My outlook is that cancelation fee should only be provided if client for some reason walks away because of their own doings instead of SPs doing. I mean I don't want to be told to wait 5 mins as the are getting ready and then see a guy coming out and getting a text 10 secs later that they are ready. I am not comfortable with that.

My 2 cents.

I agreee with you completely.

Also here is something esle to think about (not that it makes it right) but most of these regular SP's are bringing in anywhere from $5-10 grand a month!! So missing out on $250 (avg) they shouldn't be too upset... They should have to understand they can't please everyone, and although we all do our best research before going there... sometimes its not what we're into once it boils down to it...

Thanks to places like TERB that should help cut down on your chances of cancellations on the spot...
