Hopefully they'll be able to do something with their sites since the weren't able to do anything with the Israeli sites.
Anonymous, the famed hacktivist organization, is apparently planning a major operation on Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. The group released a video on YouTube explaining their intentions.
As with is its previous operations, the group will attack Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood's online capabilities.
"The Muslim Brotherhood has become a threat to the revolution Egyptians had fought for, some with their lives," the voice said. "They seek to destroy the sovereignty of the people of Egypt as well as other nations including the United States."
The attack is said to take place on Friday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will attack the Muslim Brotherhood's main website Ikhwan Online.
Anonymous has actively supported movements and revolutions across the globe. They have expressed their support of the Occupy Wall Street movement in the United States and supported Arab Spring uprisings that deposed the leaders of Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya.
"Ever since its revolution that shook the world, Egypt has had its fate undecided. Predators who seek to control are waiting to strike at the right moment. They are waiting to take over the country and make it so that another revolution is impossible. We cannot allow this," said the narrator of the video.
Anonymous has garnered a reputation for attacking nations and organizations across the globe. They have attacked oppressive government websites and provided information to protesters and demonstrators.
Recently, they had allegedly attacked Israeli computer systems over the weekend. Israel denies these claims. They also released another video last month in which they planned to attack the Los Zetas, a Mexican drug cartel, for allegedly kidnapping one of their own.
The video claims that the Muslim Brotherhood was not part of the Egyptian uprising and that the Brotherhood will attempt to hijack the country's reforms for its own benefit.
"Therefore, Anonymous has decided to destroy the Muslim Brotherhood. We shall proceed to dismantle any form of its organization from the internet. Nothing will stop us. We will show no mercy," said the ominous narrator accustomed to the Anonymous videos.
