Again, not true. Richard Goldstone has said there is no reason to change the report. And a subsequent review of the Goldstone Report by another set of human rights scholars has upheld every charge against Israel.

The Goldstone Report stands and it was reconfirmed by another set of human rights scholars.
Obviously you believe the Turkish government when they say the Armenian genocide never happened. You have a very selective way of thinking.

The same does not largely apply to the Turkish Military as well?
Or the Saudi military, for that matter. No-one ever mentions that up to 2007 the US sold more arms and gave more military aid grants to Saudi Arabia than to Israel.

That changed under Bush a little, but Saudi Arabia still receives military aid that is largely comparable to what Israel receives.

as usual Fuji your Likud version of history and current events is totally off, US military aid to Lenny and Sergei is on astronomical scale in comparison to the next big wig beneficiary aka the Egyptian military, but keep it up, eventually you take enough swings you will make contact with the bat and ball. Hey why not try the Armenian nationalist half truths or perhaps how the PKK is wonderful.

You must be a true joy to be around - what a Turkish nationalist anti-Semite? Who on earth else would try to both deny the Armenian Genocide and post the clap-trap you do about Israel.

You're using a very selective statistic, looking at only one part of the arms sales relationships. What's more useful is to look at the total volume of arms shipped.

Contemplate things like this:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/21/us-congress-notified-arms-sale-saudi-arabia

The US views Saudi Arabia as a counter to Iran and sells phenomenal quantities of arms to the Saudis, and not just recently. Up until 2007 the US routinely sold more arms to the Saudis than to the Israelis. That reversed for awhile under Bush, but it looks like it's going back that way now under Obama. That's just the Saudis. Net of everything the US delivers far more arms to Arab countries than to Israel.

On your link in 2010 the US provided Israel with 2.7 billion in military aid. Just note that it would take over 22 years of such military aid to add up to that single $60 billion sale to the Saudis from 2010 alone. While stacked up against your take home pay 2.7 billion is a hell of a lot of money, it is a pittance compared to the tens and tens of billions of dollars of arms the US sells to the Saudis.

Sorry if the US selling more arms to Arabs than Israelis doesn't fit with your nasty little pathetic hateview of the world.

So Saudi buys 60 billion in weapons and Israel gets 3 billion worth a year for free since 1985.

It's a balancing act, but the claim that the US is arming only Israel and not the Arabs is just flat out wrong, and in fact, backwards.
Not looking to start anything but you said the Saudi's receive military aid which I don't believe is the case. Cash and carry. Whereas the Israeli's get it on the house.

Interesting that scousers link essentially proves fuji's point. Israel does get more aid than Egypt but Egypt gets a pretty sizable amount.

In return, the US gets access to a wealth of intelligence from Israel as well as access to their booming security market while Egypt gives the US....a place to torture prisoners?

As for the Armenian Genocide, the only reason it isn't widely accepted in the West is that the West has always hoped that Turkey would be a reliable influence in the Middle East and a consistent mediator with the Muslim world so they suck up.

Net the US provides more free money to the Arab League as a whole than it does to Israel. In 2008 about 5.9 billion in free money to Arab countries versus only about 2.4 billion in free money to Israel.

Add another $6 billion in free military financing if you include Afghanistan, Turkey, and Pakistan to that.

As I mentioned, though, the free financing only tells part of the story. The Arab League countries are oil rich nations for the most part and don't need the free money in order to buy weapons. Thus it's much more instructive to look at total arms purchases, and not just the financing. The US sells a heck of a lot more military gear to the Arab League than it does to Israel in most years. I mentioned already that in 2010 alone the US sold $60 billion in military hardware just to Saudi Arabia. The free money is only a small part of the military purchasing in the Middle East, and the Arab League countries get the lion's share of both the free money, and the total military sales.

Of course one reason why Israel's arms imports are smaller than Saudi Arabia's is because Israel has a vibrant, world class defense industry and is actually an arms exporting nation. It makes a lot of its gear at home and doesn't need to purchase all of it from the United States.

Saudi Arabia gets some FMF but you're right they mostly pay their way (oil dollars). On the other hand the US provides more free money to the Arab League as a whole than it does to Israel.

However the arms exports are significant, no matter how financed. The US does not have to sell to those nations. For example, the US chooses not to sell any arms whatsoever to Iran, and it sells as much as it does to Saudi Arabia primarily because it wants Saudi Arabia to have military superiority over Iran.

Well I'm not much of a Mid-east conflict expert but if you took out Iraq and Afghanistan which are now basically under the very watchful eye of Uncle same, that 6 Billion gets chopped down by 4.8 billion. So the non US puppet states are getting much less combined than Israel is. And if Israel has a vibrant defense industry and exports it (to places like China) and makes money off of it, what would they need the support for?

Israel doesn't export the same dollar value of arms as the Arab League exports oil....

Off topic trivia: China is another country that is generally an arms exporter. In fact, as in most manufacturing, China is the world's largest exporter of small arms. As Canada does not have an arms embargo against China (the way the US does) we here in Canada have a nice benefit that our American cousins don't have: We can buy cheap Chinese small arms. You can ring up your firearms dealer and buy a nice Chinese made M14 rifle for about $430 here in Canada. Americans have to pay nearer $2000 for the same thing, as importing Chinese arms is illegal there.

Ernst Zundel/Fuji likes to group things by ethnicity. The simpleton factor is strong in this one.

The Saudi's are more or less cash and carry, but they get sold equipment that is sold to virtually nobody else and they get tons of intelligence aid.

So are you saying that the Saudi's get equipment that Israel doesn't have access to? I would find that hard to believe.
