Or you can take it from Ann....

LOL

This Is What a Mob Looks Like
by Ann Coulter 10/05/2011

I
The Canadian environmental group behind Occupy Wall Street, Adbusters, has compared the Wall Street "revolutionaries" to America's founding fathers. (Incidentally, those who opposed the American Revolution fled after the war to ... Canada.)

The -- again -- Canadians exulted, "You sense they're drafting a new Declaration of Independence."

.[/B]
Lol she made a lot of sense until she got to this part which I suspect she just made it up. But that's Ann Coulter I guess, even when She is right she manages to blow it, to lose credibility somehow and be annoying.

The wall street protests are for real.
The unions joining up are the latest growth, and now protests are spreading throughout the country.
Obama is now starting to try to use some of that anger towards the next election.

Obama is looking more and more like Harry Truman by laying blame where it BELONGS on Do-Nothing GOPers lead by blubbering Johnny Boner and cement head Mitch McConnell. These Do-Nothing idiots will pay dearly if they continue to obstruct instead of help fix the America Dubya ruined....;)

Although some of their "demands" perhaps make some sense most merely leave one scratching their head.

"Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live. (of course this actually means only open U.S. borders)

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books."

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies."

You seem to be the only person here who is willing to take it from Ann. Tell her to stop if you start getting sore.

You missed bolding these points
Demand one is utterly unrealistic. Might as well make it 500 dollars an hour.
So is demand 5. Demand 7 is just a plain old bad idea, especially with demand 5

You did bold this one, but I thought I'd comment on it.
Demand 12 is also utterly ignorent and retarded. They fucked up in not seeing what most other people were blind for and now they are getting hammered for pointing out the obvious and being punished for simply being the bearer of bad news. Fucking children

Anyone notice the term demand. Protests are never about democracy or debate and all about intimidation. The language makes it clear.

So I guess they don't want the banks to pay back the bailouts ? ? ?

Let's go back to Obama's proposal to rescind the Bush tax break to the richest Americans. Top 2%. All this would do is take it back to levels in past decades, during the Clinton years where if I remember correctly we weren't doing so badly. So what is different now? The Republicans complain that if we raise taxes on the rich (which is bs because it basically takes away an ill conceived tax break that we can't afford), that it will handcuff them from being able to create jobs. You hear this over and over again from the right. What jobs? Someone demonstrate to me how allowing the rich to get richer has at all generated job growth or helped the economy. They're not investing their money to help create jobs. They're sitting on it.

The GOP and in particular the Teabaggers talk as if all tax reductions and/or increases have the same effect. This is simply wrong but sounds good.

I think you have a comprehension issue.

Small firms, those that generate a majority of jobs, file their taxes on the personal tax form of the proprietor. Raising that persons taxes will make them less likely to hire additional staff.

The top 2% are already paying a ridiculous portion of the income tax, half the households pay no income tax (or negative), payroll taxes have been rolled back so the medicare and social security funds will dry up even quicker....

Why will raising their taxes 2-3% make them less likely to hire. Do you mean if your notional taxpayer has a shoes store and his staff cannot service the customers he would rather turn business away rather than hire. That is just silly. The problem confronting the states is not taxation but rather a lack of demand.

While I was sewing a button back on my shirt I thought I heard one of the talking heads on BNN say that 20% of young American males are unemployed and another 20% are in prison. did I hear right?

(Of course, there are no young men unemployed or in prison in Greece because they all are employed by the government to do nothing useful.)
