Once at a social gathering, John Wilkes said to the Earl of Sandwich, "I predict, Sir, that you will die either by hanging or of some vile disease". Disraeli replied, "That all depends, sir, upon whether I embrace your principles or your mistress."

Disraeli was not the Earl of Sandwich. He held a seat I the British house of commons and served two terms as Prime Minister in the second part of the nineteenth century; obviously he was untitled at that time. He was later made the Earl of Beaconsfield but never held the title of Sandwich.

from wikiquote.org:

" Once at a social gathering, Gladstone said to Disraeli, "I predict, Sir, that you will die either by hanging or of some vile disease". Disraeli replied, "That all depends, sir, upon whether I embrace your principles or your mistress."

This is a misquotation of John Wilkes & the Earl of Sandwich, not Gladstone & Disraeli. ~~ AllanHainey (from history, 16:04, 16 Jun 2005)"

I was among the many who thought the exchange was between Gladstone and Disraeli. We have both been enlightened.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and a king of England too and think it foul scorn of Parma or Spain or any prince of Europe should dare to invade the borders of my realm;

Queen Elizabeth 1st-August 9, 1588-to her troops at Tillbury in Essex prior to the defeat of the Spanish Armada.

Murder is unique in that it abolishes the party it injures, so that society must take the place of the victim, and on his behalf demand atonement or grant forgiveness.

There are a billion people in China. It's not easy to be an individual in a crowd of more than a billion people. Think of it. More than a BILLION people. That means even if you're a one-in-a-million type of guy, there are still a thousand guys exactly like you.
