I use to be a gold Travelocity member but now I've been using Expedia and got great buys. I had to fly to LAX twice on short notice and was able to book flights with 2 days notice for under $700 return (incl. all taxes). Air Canada wanted ~ $1800 return. I had stop overs down and back but for $1,000 - no problem. Not sure about in Canada rates.Try the websites like expedia, flight centre, the tour operators like transat. Remember, you get what you pay for.
Plus fees and taxes of course........BTW Rick, I believe that might be the one way price... just so you know
And in Canada. And perhaps in Rarotonga too, but I was asking about Westjet
Not really. I was flying out west a few months ago and spoke to some fellow travellers who had gone standby. They told me it sucked that you could not plan ahead for your exact ravel dates but the savings more than made up for it. I guess it's good if you have flexibility and saving a few hundred dollars is worth spending extra hours in the airport. I'm too impatient and would rather pay to reduce my wait time so I never looked it up on-line.There are low rates for standby tickets in Canada? I thought that was done away with years ago in Canada. I know that for changed tickets or for missed or delayed flights there is standby but not to go to the airport on the day of travel and hang around for a cheap ticket in case the plane is not full
Can you point me anywhere on how to get this?
