Maybe the other guy should start flipping the bird at people in public to get his name in the media, so come next election there is public recognition for him.

McGuinty was playing coy earlier regarding his future as leader of the Ontario libs. I believe he is aware that the public usually does not have all levels of politics running the same flag and believes he has a better chance as as result. With Ford supposedly acting this way in public, it may help McGuinty in the next election.

Then again, Ford nation might like his actions and come out of the woodwork again to vote for the Conservatives.

Chretien's popularity went up when he strangled the poverty activist, this won't hurt Ford at all.

Regardless of whether or not he flipped the bird, he seems to be admitting he was driving while on his cell phone.

he should be impeached and thrown from office and sent to prison, not jail but prison.

I think this is disgraceful, and very undignified of someone of his office doing this.

















he should have someone drive him around, driving his own car is beneath him :)

If Mr. Ford was using his cell phone while engaged in the performance of his duties as a mayor, he is EXEMPT from the law. The Highway Traffic Act Ontario Regulation 366/09 states the following : Section 9 Exemption for law enforcement officer 9. The following persons, while engaged in the performance of their duties, may drive a motor vehicle on a highway while holding or using a hand-held wireless communication device: 5. Persons appointed under a statute of the Parliament of Canada and who are peace officers within the meaning of section 2 of the Criminal Code (Canada). Under the definition of Section 2 of the Criminal Code, a Mayor is a peace officer.
