They are booing because they sense that BETTMAN loves hockey in America....and they sense that BETTMAN will be elated the cup is not coming to CANADA!!!

Pretty certain the boos were directly squarely at Bettman. Every time he walked out onto the ice the jeers got louder and louder. When he was finally finished flapping his gums, the cheers returned, even for the Bruins. I'm thinking that since Bettman is nothing but a big boob, maybe the crowd was actually chanting "boob"...

Anyway, now we can call Canucks fans, who put down HABS fans for the few idiots, hypocrites. I now kind of wish that the Leafs win the cup soon so that a) a Canadian team gets the cup and b) (if there's a riot)to see if the Leafs fan would try to explain the difference between the idiots in Toronto and the idiots in Montreal who riots.

Bettman should be booed. Only one Canadian based team has ever won the Cup during his reign of terror and that was in the early months of his rookie year as commissioner in 1993.
I do not like Bettman either but what has he done to sabotage the Canadan teams? There are 30 teams and only 6 Canadian teams hence the stats are not in our favor. Had he changed the draft to favor the States, then that'll be sabotage. He may not want a Canadian team to win and he is trying hard to avoid having more teams in Canada but what has he done to prevent one from winning? I'm not saying that he did nothing. I'm just not informed enough to know what.
The fans were booing Bettman, they do it in every city that has the finals. They did cheer when the cup came out and they did give a standing O for Tim Thomas.
