I've had a similar experience happen to me, though it was a long time ago. Won't go into details, but it wasn't that much different than the OP experienced.

Only saw her once.

Another city, another place, another time, another person. If you could go far away and do things you could not do in your own city, would you do it? I know a guy that think his assistant is a lesbian, she only eats red snappers in this city but will not do it when she is back in her home town. I know a very conservative couple that swings when they are on vacation but not here in Canada. It could be that this lady is stepping out of her personality and indulging in activities she would not do at home. Maybe she has a husband and two kids?

Yes with a Swedish nanny. Thanks for bringing back that memory from 25 years ago. Met at a party, in the hot tub. She told me not to sweat it> Free Love. Never forget her.

The movie "up in the air" definitely comes to mind in the context of your comment. But it appears it's nothing of that sort, she is on a rebound, that I have found out. Might be a case of "Stella getting her grooves back" but I am the older one in this case, by a few years (if you know the movie). Had a blast again yesterday and it's hard to deny how I feel, but then I am going with the flow with no expectation.

Thanks again guys for your advices and the jokes as well. Helps me keep things in perspective.

By the way, does anyone have an idea of the best jazz club in Toronto? She wants to go to a Jazz club tjis saturday.

My favorite place Montreal bistro closed down many years ago. I do go to Rex on queen. I however would love to take her to a place more upscale, excellent live jazz band and perharps an opportunity to dance (optional). I intend to make this a memorable moment while it lasts.

Thanks guys.

enjoy the moment, but keep your wallet in your pants when she tells you about her dying mother needing specialized treatment immediately.

The Orbit Room on College sometimes has jazz greats like Joey De Francesco but they even have rock or soft jazz bands.

I don't know about the Senator downtown or uptown near Mel Lastman's Square, but they may have suffered similar fates as The Montreal Bistro.

GPIDEAL you da man! Will check out the link.

A bit difficult to do so right now being on the road and on a blackberry.

Here's an excellent link => http://www.blogto.com/toronto/the_best_jazz_bars_in_toronto/

I've been to the Gate 403 on Roncesvalles (I was supposed to see a friend there last week) and also The Pilot (I think on Cumberland east of Yonge but check the link).

There's also the Reservoir Lounge which I was told to check out early this week.

Well guys, you know what they say: " all good things must come to an end". The past week has been an unbelievable time. Unfortunately, she is heading back to her country today.

I want to say thanks to everyone for their helps and advices, i am sure i would have blown it if not for some of your advices of "having no expectation".

A big thank you to GPIDEAL for all his assistance (through replies and PMs) in providing me with Toronto best jazz places, we had a blast!!!

I decided not to post some of the salacious details on here because the past week was more than NSA fun to me. The memories will stay with me for a long time.

Thanks again guys.
