I rarely go to clubs. And when I've gone, I've rarely had any success whatsoever. (Chicken and egg situation, maybe?)

Anyway, with the great weather we had today, and nothing much else to do on a Saturday night, given the NHL playoff game was in the afternoon, I decided to go clubbing. The fact that the "This is London" club had a no cover promotion certainly helped convince me to give it a try..

Result: I must have spoken to at least a dozen girls (one mistakenly twice, oops).. and struck out with all of them. Aaargh.

I give up!!

Keep in mind there's an art to picking up (and I am a spastic finger painter at best).

For those who can't pick up "dating" is the next option I suppose.

For those without time to date or the ability to date for whatever reason it maybe there's the hobby.

There was a show called "Keys to the VIP" on Comedy Network few years ago, a lot of guys thought they were king shit. When they were threw in a club to pick up girls, epic failure!!!

It's pretty tough to pick up total strangers. Best luck is when you meet girls who are friend of a friend. They're much more likely to give you a chance if you have even a vague connection. This is why the best way to meet women is to meet EVERYONE. Talk to everybody. Talk to guys. Talk to girls. Don't just do it with a view to picking up, just talk for the sake of talking and having fun.

Girls can see when guys are just circling around the club hitting on every girl there, and they don't much like that. But if you're wandering around chatting with EVERYONE then you just look like a fun, social guy, and not a stalker creep.

Once I went to Canadian Tire, I actually stopped right before I was getting out of my car because while looking around I noticed, 'wow, there's a lot of good lookin guys here!' I was involved with someone at the time, but I was surprised. Many people don't go to clubs any more to get dates, most of the great ones are found in other locations But I wouldn't give up and stick to SP's either. A person has to have company outside of sex. Sex always with strangers becomes very lonely.

LOL Well, I am a woman and I have never heard anything like that. I know gold diggers, and hustlers, and industry chicks, and masters of the ride....NONE have ever said "Lets go clubbing to get free drinks"

I'm not giving up finding some one and sticking with SP I just taking a little break right after getting burn my mind can only take so much before it break down. It's hard to get back on the horse and try again. Dating life is really hard these days especially for guys, you ou got to have the right looks, money, career, cars, etc etc put your self in our shoes constantly getting rejected is not fun.

Dating is a buisness.I don't care how goodlooking you are or how much of a gentleman you are.If your not making enough money in her eyes,just forget it.She won't give you the time of day.
