or download "frostwire" ..google it and try it out... the new release seems a bit wonky, runs great on some computers, not so great on others... But, you can always use it to download a torrent and then open the torrent in utorrent or bitlord or whatever and go from there..

Oh,, and as Canadians, since we pay a tax on every blank cd purchased that is contributed to artists rights, as they managed to convince the government that it should be levied IN CASE a blank cd was used to copy copyrighted material.. don't feel guilty about downloading and violating " copyright infringement laws" you already paid for it, so use it.. If you still feel guilty, buy a spindle of cd's and use them for coasters, secure in the knowledge that you've already paid a tax on something that you may or may have not consumed..

It's like this.. a small fish in a big pond swims forever.. a big fish in a small pond is tomorrow's lunch. Nobody wanted a tax on blank cassettes when teenagers tapes a song off the radio, it just wasn't worth the bother to persue, but once you could download a song in good quality in less than five seconds,,,,

Prices are at an all time low (thanks to downloading :).
Really? When I look at iTunes or hmvdirect or whatever I see prices that are remarkably similar to what they've always been. If you buy all the track son an album you pay damn near the same price as buying an album.

Meanwhile in the area of movies for $8/month...

You think it's the same?

You need good speakers.
Even a cheap headset will sound better than crappy speakers.
You're prolly right, I dont listen to music much on my PC, audio is just there for short newsclips and stuff

Your missing out on a lot if you like music. I always have online radio steaming, CDs or an mp3 library playing while using the PC.....

LimeWire shut down permanently.Popular file-sharing service served with court injunction to shut down permanently.Guess I'll have to go back to taping songs from the radio, will that be illegal now also?Sheesh!
Sorry that I didn't add the article, unsure how to do it.
I can't believe people even used Limewire with all the viruses and adware you get on there. Use torrents for full albums or mixes. File sharing programs never seem to last. Napster, Audio Galaxy (the best one), LimeWire.... etc.

p2p programs are under constant attack now by RIAA.
Torrents and Newsgroups are all that is left now.
