The actual wedding will be I'm sure be far more staid. That said the ad is amusing and the Archbishop of Canterbury (Rowan Williams) look-alike really does look like him, at least as he dances by.

By the way the church is St. Batholomew-the-Great in Smithfield, London. It is the only Norman church building in London, the current church is the nave of the former Augustinian Priory the rest having been razed during the Reformation.

I like how this original wedding entrance video (that went viral in a big way!) ends up being the idea to create this newer wedding video:

Funny video lol.

Yes, some of the actors really do make good 'doubles'.

Yes, I'm sure they decided to marry just because of the economy.

Regardless, it is as Sir Winston Churchill said of the Queen's wedding "A bright ray of colour on the hard gray road we have to travel."
Anyone alive at the time can tell you it was far harder and grayer than it is now.

Well, if this was the plan it seems there hasn't been much to worry about for a looooooong time. When was the last one. Your cynicism is blinding.

Yes, I guess I'm not a hopeless romantic like yourself.
The Royal Wedding (in these times) have been replaced by "Celebrity Weddings".

And, the amount of press and merchandise speaks to the cynicism in me.

Actually you'd be surprised how close those two are in outlook. Check it out.

It's probably because I'm a very nostalgic person, but I can't wait for this royal wedding in exactly 7 days from now. Hopefully, it'll be as magnificent as watching it live on TV as when Prince Charles and Princess Diana got hitched back in July 29, 1981.

Ah, childhood memories watching it live because we were kids on summer vacation and didn't have school.

It is to be hoped that the people enjoy it. They bloody well pay for it.
