.....and Republicans hate it from head to toe.Obama, can't you just work with your colleagues in congress and the house? If you came out hating the plan and yourself it would be a good start.

Read their minds and then say white as they say white so you could get a pat on the back 50% of the time.Work with them to run yourself into the ground and give alot of rich people tax relief.

No, take taxes on the richest Americans back to 1990's levels, when we seemed to being doing quite well. The Republicans argue that will take the incentive for the richest among us to invest. They haven't been doing that since George's tax break 8 years. They've been sitting on it, and in the meantime the gap between the richest and poorest in the US continues to grow.

OK, two questions:

How much income do you consider "richest Americans"?

You own a small business, how do you file your taxes?

Wouldn't it be nice to have the true bipartisanship, namely raising taxes (Democrats) and draconian spending cuts on the entitlements and wanton spending (Republicans)?

Not gonna happen since the true bipartisanship is to have both parties grandstanding and arguing on petty politics with each other. Are they in cahoots to defraud and screw the Americans after all??

So much for a role model for democracy and America's credibility. No wonder IMF is "biting the hands that feed the institution". LOL.

lol to the power of 10 when the African Americans react the same way as Joe.

Again just take a look at the Black hottie right behind Timid Geithner. She seemed to have the same reaction like Joe. No?

Obama is talking about $4 trillion less deficit over 12 years which is a joke.
The US National debt is already ridiculous and will be way bigger in 12 years even if this happens.
They were bickering over $30 billion or so recently which is so insignificant to the size of the problem that it is hilarious.
Even if they cut spending by $200 billion and taxed the so-called rich another $200 billion they would still be royally fucked and this year's deficit would still be over $1 trillion.
Dilution and/or default are inevitable and the US$ is toast, and that's if there isn't even a run of the US$.

Our radical ideologue GOPers will only hasten this implosion.
The question is where do those who are able move, go avoid this collapse the GOP is about to provoke?....

The thread itself wasn't even about politics .It was just the negative negative negative .Was there nothing Republicans could find they even slightly liked?Nothing?

Obama worked with them last weekend to give them a pretty strong amount of what they asked for. This week?.....it all sucks Mr.President.Nothing there we can even get behind. It's all bad.

god ,that country is circling the bowl....lololol.When you can convince poor people that very rich people are the ones that need to be saved, you are truly on the way to creating a Oligarchy.

If Obama is a socialist ,every person who supports the Economic Growth(Ha!! hows that working out for you?) and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and the Jobs and Growth Tax( should kick in any second now) Relief Reconcilation Act of 2003 is an Oligarchist.

Everyone down there thinks they're going to be the next millionaire, and that they'll need those dollars.I mean how can the American dream be wrong?...because it's a dream.....and you need to be asleep to believe it(Carlin)

As per the tax code. I have no problem with returning the tax rate back before Bush's tax breaks to the richest 2% of our population. Obviously, you do.
