Mercedes has a reasonable race pedigree, I think they should hang around.

Schui gave an interview the other day raving about this car and stating categorically he will not retire until he has won another championship...

Rld, Shumy is old now. Did you know a 40 year old needs 4 times the light than 20 year to see at night? Our reflexes get slower too.

For Michael to win, he would need at least the Red Bull car and Miracle of de-aging if that is a word.

For the record......I started watching F1 cause of him. But my heart breaks every time he does a DNF :-( Just enjoy your records,
I don't think anyone will win 90 something races soon. Time to let younger guys take over.

Great points, Spacy. Mercedes didn't look that good last season, and they've once again given Michael a car that puts him squarely in the middle of the field.

We know the Mercedes v8 is a great motor - look what Lewis did with a busted floor/diffuser last weeeked. The problem is the desgin of the car. Mercedes doesn't have a top notch design engineer - there are only a few around.

Is it true that Sebastian never used the KERS during the race?

i didn't suggest he is going to win, just based on his statements that he will be sticking around for a while.

Personally I don't think he should have come back at all.

I agree. In retrospect, it was a mistake for Michael to return.
