It will depend on each circumstance. If a SP decides to leave in a year, lowering her rate will mean a bit of lifestyle change. She'll leave maybe with not as much but enough to go to the next stage in her life. Those in the long term will probably feel the backlash in a year or 2 when they try to raise it again.

A special might get the SP pass the next few months but I think it would be better to start sharing incalls or to cut out ads from at least one of your sources etc. Call it restructuring if you will.

Unfortunately the numbers of gentlemen we see has dropped considerably over the past few months, mainly because the majority of them/you simply do not have the finances to hobby the way you once did.

I don't know about that...I can certainly say that there is no noticeable increase of new good looking girls comparing to any prior recent period
So it seems good looking girls can find enough money to not become SPs :(

I'd pay full price if you would just stop using the green Type!!!!!!!!

....wait a minute.....charge the same rate but advertise yourself as eco-friendly! The Green SP.

You have my permission to use this idea without royalties! LOL
ROFLMAO You are too kind ;) I am not entirely certain that using The Green SP would not bring unsightly things to mind.......

Before you change your rates, maybe you should analyze your product mix. Your website shows ten different incall products. How many of each do you sell in a week, and which combination of products produces the best return.
Ask yourself how has the product mix has changed over the past year. Can you make changes to the price of some items to raise revenue without changing the the total number of sales?

I am not sure of your review policy but many great reviews here on TERB and other review boards could be priceless.

Many have already covered everything really, tweak service offerings. Adjust prices during slow periods and give incentives to repeats/regulars.

There is certainly a difference between low prices and good value.

Less YMMV and a more homogeneous service in line with reviews is especially important.

A good review or a series of them can make your pussy worth several times it's weight in gold.

One can easily believe he got good value if the service was at least as great as advertised/reviewed despite the price point.

He therefore leaves satisfied and is a potential repeat/good review.

Diversify. Maybe do some camming during slow periods. Lots of local girls on sites like myfreecams.

I do like the young hotties online but still find myself patronizing the mature hotties too as my preference in real life is the mature hotties.

Wow, so many complex answer. I think lowering price is good. Just don't lower too much at a time as it may scare off some people. IMHO

burt-oh-my!

If your regulars are seeing you less, and it is due to current economic climate, and you like them, then I would target your reductions to them: people who like you and whom you like and are comfortable with, encouraging them to repeat more often, a win/win for both. Offering a general discount only invites new people that you might not enjoy. Target your current customer base and any new clients that you want. Let the others pay full price.
I agree cmopletely.

I think as time has gone by I have become much more sensitive to price, not because of my personal circumstances, but because I honestly have never found for instance a $300 SP to be worth $100 more than a $200 SP. So I just don't go there.

I think an analysis of your clientele - one-off vs repeat - would be of interest. As I said in another thread, i find an email inviting me to an appointment to be quite irrestible. I mean, this whole thing is a bit of a fantasy, so why not go further and stroke their egos a bit - email a client once in a while saying you'd like to see them? A little bit of personalized marketing.

I'll speak for the company I work for.

We price less when we are slow, price less to keep people working, etc.

Once we are "busy" or in our world, "fill the shop", then the prices go up on future bids. It all depends how "hungry" we are.

In the SP world, I would think you could easily offer mid week specials, etc.

You have to remember, that to most normal hobbyists (i.e. those who are not addicts), if times are tight, SPing is the FIRST thing you are going to cut out. It's a luxury and comes after you pay the rest of the bills.

If you are lowering your price, you must be hoping/expecting to increase volume in order not to also lower your already suffering income stream. Given how personal the business is I'd put a lot of thought into who/where I want that increased volume to come from. As other's have pointed out there's a danger in a public 'distress-sale' price cut; it may attract custom you don't want, and if it increases business you'll have to handle more of that, not less.

If you can figure out how, I'd opt for the customer loyalty plan model, rewarding repeat clients, and trying to increase their frequency of visits. Not necessarily with price breaks, although we've all seen buy 10 and number 11's free schemes and VIP 10% off discount cards, if time's available you could give 'free' quarter-hours, or 'free' bonus services.

And there won't be quite the general price-rise resistance down the line, as you can deal with those special customers one by one.

So, to recap,,,,If a price reduction is required keep it small so as not to attract the undesirables.
Offering specials, extra time for the same rate and rewarding regular clients with discounts would be a good idea.
Make my menu a little less 'complicated'. Perhaps flat rates for GFE/PSE and Domination/Fetish/Fantasy.
Encourage my terb clients to review......honestly.
Have i missed anything?

I agree with oldjones. Keep in mind who you want as clients, and how different pricing structures can/will change who you see.

The customer loyalty approach can be offered to the clients you would like to see more. There are many ways of implementing it. As mentioned free visits after so many paid.

Another approach (dependent on trust levels) is discounts for prepaid visits. Agree to see someone x times in a time period (one or two months perhaps) prepaid at a discount. I have been in this type of arrangement and it works very well for both.

Alternatively, raise your price to $1,000 an hour then the kids from rich Italian families (who made their fortune in real estate and construction) in Woodbridge will think you must be really special to command a thousand bucks an hour and beat a path to your door. Hee, hee, hee. Insert "$1,000 an Hour" smilie here.

Run specials, promotions, or give word of mouth discounts, but don't try to undercut the market. You will only hurt your own reputation.
Thank you hon, that is one of the reasons I asked the advice of the members and other sp's, I don't want to undercut anyone but at the same time I do want to make my rates more affordable for the regular 'working Joe'. :)

I know Luv, I do not usually even mention reviews to my guys but it seems that the common opinion is that reviews are the best way to get my name 'out there'. :( When I first started this business I was a rare commodity, a Mature woman as well as a BBW. Now there seems to be more and more of 'us' and competition is becoming fierce lol.
