Memory lane...

Hi - just going down memory lane...wondering if anyone wants to share their memories from the following spas/parlors which were open 15-20 years ago:

- a spa/massage place that was on Somerset? I think it was between Bank and O'Connor, but it could have also been between O'Connor and Metcalfe. I think it was owned/run by a black woman in her early to mid 40s, fairly well endowed but a bit overweight. There was also a younger black/milado girl who worked there, she was in her early 20s and very, VERY hot - smaller, perky breasts, much thinner, beautiful body.

- the famous spa that was on Dalhousie which normally featured the German/Austrian "Diane" (I believe was her name), who must have been about 50 20 years ago! There was also a French masseuse, I think her name was Sylvie - blonde, early to mid 30s, thinner and smaller breasts than Diane. They also had this other tanned French girl, well endowed, mid to late 20s, who left to start her own place in New Edinburgh, in Vanier, which didn't stay open long;

- a parlor on Metcalfe, between the museum and Gladstone, right across the street from a large apartment building. The parlor was on the third story of a third story walk-up, if memory serves (the building is still there, of course). I remember two women from there: a tall blonde Austrian (I think) woman, usually had her long hair tied up, and a shorter, thinner brunette with short brown or dark hair, both were in their early 30s, I believe;

- finally, I had my very first experience was at a parlor on Catherine, I just can't remember its name right now, almost on corner of Bronson. It was open for a very long time and had a big following - so much so that when it finally closed, the apartment tenant had to have a sign saying that there was no longer a massage parlor there. One had to go up a flight of stairs to the massage rooms. They had a great variety of girls at the time - I vividly remember my first but not her name: late 20s/early 30s, long curly brown hair, ample breasts, a larger but still taut behind...I wish I remembered her name...

I'm just cruising memory lane...if there's anyone who's interested in cruising with me, I'd sure be curious to read...

Good topic frechettemai. Those places do not ring a bell for me but when I started I was not active much. Would love to here about how things were in Ottawa in the 70s or 80s.

I certainly remember the place on Catherine. You had to book in advance. As a matter of fact, my first massage experience was there, too.

And I hit the Dalhousie spa a number of times. They often had youngish, very pretty girls working there. Limited action, but a treat at the time.

I remember the Catherine Street place too. I went there once, late one night after an evening at a strip club. Climbed those stairs and nervously stepped into a waiting room with three half-dressed ladies on a couch. The guy at the desk asks me for my name. Name? I gotta have a name? I mutter something about a wrong address and quickly leave. I was a newbie. :p

My first experience was in the mid-eighties at a place on Nepean Street (next door to a restaurant... The Ritz). When you rang the door bell, a girl opens the door only a crack and asks you want you want. Inside, it was a dimly lit place with two main rooms. One had a massage table and the other a mattress on the floor. As I recall it was hinted that there were more options available in the mattress room (also more expensive). I opted for the table room and actually went there twice... on the same night (with a strip club visit in between). Ah, those were the days.

Are you sure about German Diane being on Dalhousie. I remember that one from Somerset and that place was called Natural Point.

I panicked when they asked for a name also... I ended up registered as "Micheal Jackson". Now I'm much better with my aliases.

I did something similar once, way back in 1994, answering 'mao tse-tung' when asked for a name, even though the guy asking was of Chinese descent and one cannot be more whitey than I am... I got a smile out of him... The encounter with the girl was nothing to remember, though!

Wow, Nepean St. - almost forgot! I was a regular of a blonde BBW there, mid to late 20s, long curly blonde hair, well endowed. She later worked for a bit in Vanier, at that place above the Playmate.

I also just remembered this escort I was also a regular of in the early 90s. In her 30s, she was also a bit of a blonde BBW (hey, I know what I like), with curly blonde hair and large, very large breasts. I also remember she used to drive up to the hotel rooms I'd book in a Ford F150 Flareside (they had just come out), think it was a shade of purple or something...

I remember a place on the north side of Beechwood (Vanier Pkwy end, just past where the Second Cup is now). The entrance was out in the open right off the sidewalk on Beechwood. This would have been mid-90's maybe. I don't remember much about the session, other than negotiating on the fly what I could or could not see/touch. $10 for that...$20 for this.. etc. The room I was in was kind of strange. It was ground level at the front and the windows were large, like an old store front (curtained of course). But because of the large size and proximity to the street, you could hear cars and everyone walk by (it was winter when I was there). I kept thinking someone was going to walk in on us... not that we were doing anything wrong, mind you.

Also, in the late 80's or early 90's there was a place on Holland that I always wanted to try. I don't remember the name. My bus used to pass by the address twice a day. I called once to find out more. The very pleasant sounding lady assured me the girls were very attractive and they'd make sure I left "nice and relaxed." When I asked about topless, she laughed and said "no" but the girls wore nice white t-shirts. Anyone have any experience with this place? Did I miss anything memorable by not going?

Were you a rookie at the time? Because that sounds like a standard rookie question, and a standard denial by a phone lady. There's a set of questions you can't ask on the phone, and that's one of them.

Busted! Yep, I was pretty much a rookie then. Part of my learning curve. After my wild debut night on Nepean St., I pretty much cooled my jets until the mid-nineties, when hobbying became more of a regular event. Had I ventured into the Holland street spa, that would have been my third MP visit. I'm still curious to know what I missed there, if anything.

This is very similar to a thread that was going a coupld of years ago on the History of Ottawa Mp's but a search just jams up my computer. Great to go down memory lane.

The place on Beechwood sounds like the place I went to in the early 90's. It's a hair salon now but they had a big window a doorway right at the sidewalk with the massage room just in behind. I only stayed as I new Cassandra who I had seen at the old Natural Point on Somerset. Short, older blonde with huge natural tits. FS never an issue.

The place on Holland was Jaynie's Relaxation, building since torn down for the new condo complex. Decent massage but she never went topless but would periodically hire girls who did.

Here's a real plast from the past. Does anyone remember the old Eastview Massage on Montreal Rd? That place on Nepean had some of the hottest women in the business, expensive yes but worth it.

Oh wow! Jaynie's Relaxation, I was trying to think of that name & just couldn't think of it. Jaynie was a bit of a mature woman, so she was shy about going topless, but she was pretty comfortable around me. Her prices were very reasonable. She worked out of the top floor of a duplex.

I remember going to the Eastview place just once. It was okay, but I think it may have already been going downhill at that point. Isn't that the place which was owned by a respected Vanier pharmacist, which got busted? One of the girls that used to work there still works now at her own place, Lily from Studio Illona.

Anyone remember a location in the triangle where Somerset meets Wellington in Hintonberg. It was in a new ish building and posed as a photostudio. They had several rooms with different motifs; Roman, Western, futuristic etc. I don't think there were many pictures taken but there were massages and more, all negotiated with the models. It existed in the late 80's.

Yup, I remember that, and I also remember that it hosted several different massage places, each new one followed a previously busted one. It was a wonder that people didn't pick up on the fact that if there were so many busts at the exact same location that maybe it was "on the radar"?

Burned down actually (94ish?)... But she was great. Lost my favourite pizza joint (Carlos) that night too, took me years to realise that Carlos moved to Harmer. Jaynie actually moved near by and continued for a while...
