Games of Death

Bruce Lee promised the finale of Games of Death to Bolo Yeung; tragically it never came to pass. Bolo would eventually train Brandon Lee, he took the younger Lee's passing very hard.

Bruce Lee was an awesome motion picture martial arts star. No one else was an international ambassador for martial arts like he was. He was incredible!!!

Saying that....

Chuck Norris would have kicked his ass in a real fight.
Bruce Lee was too fast for Chuck.

His son Brandon, also died way too soon!

Yes, very awesome interview!

Bruce and Steve Mcqueen admired each other, Steve wanted to do the physical things that Bruce could do, Bruce at the time wanted to be a box ofiice superstar like Steve was.
Even though Steve McQueen and James Coburn were his Hollywood students he considered both true friends. This is why his wife Linda included both of them as pallbearers at his funeral. In 1994, I visited his gravesite at Lakeview Cemetery in Seattle where he was buried.

Wish that I could find this amazing fictitious short story printed in one of my very old martial arts magazine. It was about a great MMA type of fight between Muhammed Ali vs. Bruce Lee. Wonder if there is a video game for this now?

There is absolutely no doubt about in my mind -- Bruce Lee was a legend. There really is no one quite like him.

Were there any special effects used to speed up the scenes? Bruce Lees speed in fights is just UNREAL!!! His limbs seem weightless. He also had this incredible intensity about him during the fights. Real star power.

Lee was terribly important to the sport for a number of reasons. Sure, he popularized it in N. America and the western world, but he also had a profound influence on the sport itself. Up to that point, much Kung Fu was very ritualized and based on dogmatic themes. It was Lee that introduced "free form" Kung Fu, based upon reaction and what should be done next to counter or attack, rather than the "set ballet" school that had existed up to that time.

I love martial arts movies and it all started for me with Bruce Lee.

Stunning screen presence, legendary technique and ability and one of the handful of heroes on the screen who could make you feel his punches/kicks. When he punched a guy, you would say " Well...he ain't gettin up"

He broke many stereotypes and put a standard of martial arts film making for everyone to follow on. Prior to him, martial arts movies were 'too choreographed' like a ballet ( as the above guy mentioned ). They still are of course but its done in a much better way.

After him, the only other action hero who deserves a place next to Lee is Jackie Chan. He started off doing the 'ballet kung fu' stuff and that gave him valuable experience but he invented his own style of martial arts movies. His 'Slapstick Kung Fu' is such an awesome treat to watch, I can safely say he is the best stuntman and fight choreographer that ever lived. He is insane and his use of props is unmatched.

You make it sound like Bruce Lee is only good in movies, lol. You need to get your facts about Bruce first. Start with Wikipedia, and you will see Chuck Norris was actually one of Bruce Lee's students. Bruce was light years ahead of Chuck. Look at how many ppl training MMA now (decades after he started). Bruce was also very strong and extremely fast (in real life). Bruce was not big, but he was physically strong with unbelievable strength (he did things heavyweights couldn't do) and he was so fast on camera that a director had to actually slow it down (check his documentaries if you don't believe me). So bruce is the real deal and "the one and only". So your comment was a joke. Bruce Lee was an actual street fighter as well, he would kill Chuck in a few seconds.

I haven't laughed like that in ages.

Steven Segal would beat Chuck within minutes too.

So wrong. They trained together. Chuck was a well established champion before he met Bruce

So true. But the same was said about Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Tony Jaa.

So here's the real joke. I placed it in bold with the other joker.

Fact: Chuck Norris was the Professional Middleweight Karate Champion of the World
Fact: He was the Champion for six consecutive years
Fact: He had the most tournament wins of that year, and was named the Fighter of the Year

So if anyone thinks that Chuck Norris would be a pushover is caught up in the legend of Bruce Lee and not the real facts. Sorry to burst your bubble.
