Can it possibly be true that only 22 percent of Chinese University women find jobs?

There is an article in the Daily Mail which states that with job shortages women in China have been infecting themselves with round worm in desperate attempts to loose weight.

"women are under pressure to appear thin if they are to have any chance of landing a job.
Employment stands at 22 per cent - and the size of the labour pool has grown by 112 million people over the last decade."

This I presume applies only to women, but still can this possibly be true?

Not sure the round worms part but it's not that off the mark for mainland Chinese University women.

Not so much for Chinese University Women in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Theirs are significantly ahead compared to the young men.

Needless to say, many young university educated women outside Mainland China and in the developed countries like Canada have no idea how lucky they are and count their blessing.

One wonders that border protection agents aren't having to hold at bay hundreds of pretty, intelligent young women from the PRC every day.

(although deliberately posted in a joking manner a serious question even given the PRC's male female disparity)

Not sure that "pretty" part since many of them are very average IMHO.

Having said that, by letting them to come overseas work as SPs/MPAs should theoretically put downward price pressure for white "competitors".

LOL. There are 2 "solutions" to "surplus" Chinese men.

One would be this

The other would be the following,

Funny to notice that dating white ladies isn't mentioned at all.

Doubtless so. However, figure the odds, if 78 percent of female University graduates in the PRC are unable to obtain gainful employment commensurate with their degrees, and even 10 percent of them are "pretty" that is a lot of women.

They are including everyone of the age to work in their labour pool, not just those seeking work. If we used that measure here, our unemployment rate would be really high too.

LOL, it looks like the same group of very average looking, far from "pretty", University educated Chinese women are creating surplus in the dating scene. Shocking indeed....

Funny it takes the Caucasians a decade late to figure out this norm. Will this be a "wake-up" call for the white dudes having "yellow fever"?

Not entirely sure where you are getting any empirical evidence for this. . .

The Article is interesting, I would presume when he speaks of "Jia" this is based entirely on present day income, not family background.

That would be both.
There might be hope for a certain percentage of them in the west.

As for the video, I've certainly seen less atractive women. Then again, pink uniforms with what look like white go-go boots don't exactly send me.
