Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

Ok the season is quickly passing by and I have missed seeing a couple of my old favorite Christmas movies this year - just don't have time I guess :(

The 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol" was the best overall under that title - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l1_82x2BO4 But the Bill Murray version "Scrooged" was a great laugh when it came out.

But My overall favorite is "A Christmas story" with Darren McGavin (1983). That has to be the best Christmas flick of all time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BohMtEJSX0Q

[BTW - I own a "Red Ryder" BB gun - bequeathed from a relative after this movie made them a collectible item].

A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim. I don't feel "Christmasy" until that movie comes on Christmas Eve night I will never accept anyone else as Ebeneezer Scrooge

I'll second (or was that a third, fourth or fifth?) A Christmas Carol with Sir Alistair Sim. My second choice would have to be Miracle on 34th St. with Sebastian Cabot.

Which version has Sabastian Cabot? The 1947 version with young Natalie Wood list the cast (on IMDB) with Edmund Gwenn (1877-1959). This version was on AMC alot this season in BW & coloured versions.

Ya just gotta laugh during the scene when Kris Kringle bangs the Macy's employee with his cane! LOl Such a classic!

Even the trailer has its own particular charm.

There is that great scene in The Muppet Christmas Carol. Watch Beeker as he leaves.
