I am sort of new to the area, where do local single people (not students) hang out? any particular bars or other ideas where to meet other singles?

The Flying Dog has a good 25 plus year old crowd. Most girls there are single, have jobs, and friendly. Dress nice, be personable and you will do fine.

Goatboy is right. A female friend of mine comes home with a different dude everytime she goes there. No shit.

Club Abstract...is large, has a good vibe, is far enough away from the University to eliminate the teenie boppers, and the crowd ranges from 25 - 45.....Lots of good music....lots of room to cruise around!!!

I'd be more inclined to say that I like Martini's or Wyldcraft for their bars and some of the local patios through the warmer months though more often than not you'd find me roaming the LCBO in the Vintages section or at the grocery store planning the week's meals.

I do see a lot of women on their own (and men for that matter) in the grocery store and LCBO so maybe that would be a good place to start. However, the truth is for my age group, 45+, there really isn't a great place to go though so the original advice of The Flying Dog may be as good as we get in KW.

Best of luck to you.
