Men taken down by women

It is interesting to read how many influential men have lost jobs or been hurt (intentionally or not) in one way or another by women. I am certain the opposite is true also but it seems a woman's scorn is quite potent.

Most recently

Mark Hurd - HP CEO stepped down from some type of relationship with a women who claimed sexual harassment. From the paper, it wasn't the relationship that took him down but improper expense requests. I read $20,000 in expenses that were inappropriate.

Tiger Woods - Yes, I know some think he deserved it and some don't but the fact of the matter is several women certainly took him down.

Bill Clinton - I guess Monica is still scratching her head on how slick willie got off. I recall the Senate impeached him - or was it the House - no matter, he finished out his term, wife became Senator and now he makes a lot of money giving speeches. Still, he was taken down a few pegs but seems to have come out the best so far.

John Edwards - Wow, this one was a shocker. Having an affair and a love child while his wife was having cancer treatment. He was close to becoming VP - what a fall from grace. The intern he was sleeping with sure took him down.

Mel Gibson - First, this guy is a total nut but to tape his tirades and plaster them all over the internet is another thing. Who knows who did it (some claim it was his girlfriend's sister) but shows you how even this big star can be taken down a few pegs. I'm sure the movie offers have come to a standstill - at least for now.

I recall a few Kings took other wives and mistresses to their detriment. Anyone else have any to add?

This has been going on since the beginning of time.

Adam was kicked out of the Garden of Eden because of Eve.

Later, Samson and Delilah.

Marriage is the great equalizer in society for men. It doesn't matter how rich you are, your wife is going to take every cent.

Do you notice this is only true in the western civilization? In Islam world, no man is ever taken down by women. and they can have multiple wives. Praise to Allah!

That is why we are trying to bring Western values to the Islamic world. Why should us male Westerners suffer alone? Hee, hee, hee.

On the other hand, Bruce Jenner ditched his first wife (she worked so he could finish school and train for the Olympics) after he won his Gold medal.

The OP's examples had it coming to them. On the other hand, Bruce Jenner's wife didn't deserve what she got.

Hmm...figure that out already a decade ago.

BTW, it's one thing when the men suffer "self-inflicted" wounds when having "issues/affairs" with women, like Mark Hurd, Bill Clinton or Tiger Woods for example. It's totally different ball game when men lost jobs or been hurt one way or another by women who are in control/their bosses.

the hobby needs more capitalism
It's not women taking down these men. It's men's egos, which blinds and allows to place themselves in very bad situations.

I rarely see women placing themselves in situations where they can end up being fucked over. Men seem to think its manly to do so (ex. drop out of university to provide for some girl).

The captain couldn't be any more right. Add a layer of class, sophistication and intelligence coupled with a good bubbly personality and you have every man's dream girl who is unstoppable in getting anything that she wants.
