As usual, our Cut & Paste aficionado comes through big time. If I knew what his point was, it could mean more, but we're getting use to it. So we spend 60 seconds watching iceberg and bergie bits flow south down Iceberg Alley in July.

Sure, based on suppositions and models that may or may not be accurate. It's guess work at best and in some cases a complete fabrication.Of course and 'real scientists' can even extrapolate further back than then!....

But it becomes a waste of time discussing this with someone who doesn't believe in the scientific method and it's clear you don't. There were lengthy threads omn this exact topic back when you just joined and it was left at 'if you don't believe in scientific methodology you'll never be convinced'.

I agree! Unfortunately, it is rarely just the "scientific method" that comes into question as there are more than enough political/ecnomic factors that come into play. It just never ceases to amaze me how often the scientific community gets things completely wrong. The reality is that none of us will live long even to know whether global warming is a real threat or not... unless, of course, you buy Al Gore's timeline.
Ditzy Sarah Palin is sure getting an awful lot of traction with that BS with the folks she pals around with!...
