I think interleague play is BS, it favours the NL. Pitchers are getting hurt having never batted before, isn't Lester I believe injured due to batting practice, and Scott Downs hasn't been the same since he was injured last year.

NL can always use a bench player to play DH, but AL teams have to use a pitcher when playing in NL parks, yet having no ML batting experience.

I disagree. AL teams will devote more money to a good hitting DH because they play everyday. NL teams will not devote that much money to a no field player, and hence are often at a big disadvantage at DH.

This far outweights any advantages of a pitcher hitting .170 instead of .110.

I enjoy IL play. You get interesting match-ups (NY vs. NY, Chi vs Chi, Cincinnati vs. Cleveland, etc.).
I would say 90% of the time, pitchers go up there to bunt/sacrifice. And if you're an AL manager and you're worried your pitcher is going to get hurt, just tell the pitcher to take 3 strikes and go sit on the bench. And how many times does a pitcher go up to bat in a game? 2-3 times. Also, it creates accountability for pitchers. You just can't go after guys and not worried that they're going to get you (e.g. Roger Clemmens).
It's fun for the fans.

Yeah I hate it too.
Toronto vs Arizona? Really?
It was the New York and Chicago teams that pushed for this years ago because they're the only ones that care.

I hate interleague play as well, it has nothing to do with DH or no DH, is something much simpler than that.

Unless it's the world series, I don't give a shit about any NL team, and really why should I because I can see a particular team now 3-4 times every 3 years now or whatever format they come up with (they keep changing the format)

To hell with it, just make it a balanced schedule in both leagues, forget this gimmicky.

Is Tornto vs KC any better... or vs Oakland.. or Cleveland... or Baltimore.

Sure it creates some non interesting matchups... such as KC vs Pit. But that is not an argument against interleague, as those teams are in non interesting matchups 162 times a year.
