If my memory serves me right, in addition to those in your own words Arab hating conservatives to jump on this one, there are equal number if not significantly more Arab own conservatives, be Sunni or Shia start even more disturbing smear campaign, calling her a hoe on their blogs, and all those nutty American conspiracies to humiliate the Arabs again.

No I don't speak Arabic but my definition of 'Arab hating conservatives' holds equally well to those here at home, as well as those over in the ME. One thing I've discovered over the years is conservatives all over the world share an almost innate ability of being equal opportunity haters.
They all believe in that Dubya Manta, "You are either with me, or you are the enemy!" It's just over there they phase it a little differently with different wording.....god willing.....

If you actually read my posts, you’d know that I think she’s a gorgeous lady and I’m ok with her winning but if she turns out to be an Islamist using her position to further an Islamist agenda, then I’m not ok with it.
I also said that’s highly unlikely considering the pole dancing and the dollar bills hanging out of her bra because it doesn’t seem very Islamic.

Saw her on Letterman and she kinda reminded me of Paris Hilton with dark hair. Maybe she could become the next Nicole Richie. She is indeed exceptionally fine looking, nice to see that all beauty contest winners don't have to be cookie cutter/barbie doll types.

I wouldn't waste my time, I don't think he gets it. He thinks they are selected for their religious values.
As for me, if she lets me boink her, she can quote every verse in the Koran in my ear as I drive home my passion in this wonderful girl. I don't fear anyone's religious banter.

So what right wing smears are you suggesting are taking place? I've seen more about the pole dancing contest here on TERB than on Fox News, the only commentary I've seen on Fox other than that Hezbola isn't happy, is that she's a pretty young woman.
Cinema Face is terrified, absolutely terrified, that she might open up her mouth and say something about what it means to her to be a Muslim. I think she should--she's obviously a moderate, it would do a lot of good for people to hear how moderate Muslims see their religion and their life and the way they fit in with everybody else. She's a great spokeswomen to offset the media image of Muslims as extremists.
So in my view she should talk to the media now and then about the influence that Islam has had on her life and such.
I was thinking the same thing. I would not want to be her. If some nutbar in the Middle East issues at Fatwa, she will never be safe again.
