Disposable cell phones - how much and where to buy?

I am taking a family vacation in the UK and would like to do some hobbying discreetly in London. IIRC, there are disposable cell phones with limited hours that can be purchased and disposed off. Can someone tell me a little more about these?

Same as here.
I use several to keep my real identity low key.
Buy a phone for cash.
Buy a top up card for airtime minutes for cash.
Tap the code numbers into the handset (read the manual for the initial set-up) .... voila a working telephone.

Is there anything about the phone to tip off that it is a disposable? As 1 of the reasons I am interested in buying it is to satisfy the SP agencies' requirement for "security", am I going to get told the phone is not acceptable for booking girls?
