CFL Player AND Canadian Olympian Jesse Lumsden was released by the Eskimo's this week.The team stated he doesnt have medical clearance to play because of his past injury.
The often injured Lumsden(shoulder) says he still wants to play football and is now looking to catch on with another CFL team
BC and TO have hinted interest.Both teams owned by the same guy David Braley of Hamilton who owned the Ticats back in the 90's.

This kid could have been a legend in the CFL with his running prowess etc but he seems to have a "glass shoulder" Its too bad.

Tough to get interest in a guy who didn't last 15 minutes last year. He was done in the first quarter of the first regular season game last year.

Jesse was never really the same after having his knee injured while at MAC.

Retire now and stay healthy.

Jesse Lumsden wanted to be the next Larry Csonka, he never learned how to evade a tackle.

Had someone sat him down and shown him Emmitt Smith or Walter Payton highlight reels, he would still be playing.

The O-line he had at MAC protected him so well, that I feel his talent was way overstated.
As soon as he hit the pros, he could not deal with being hit.

Too tall to be a running back in the pros. Too big of a target and always trying to run over the defense. He might have made a better linebacker.

His talent wasn't overstated. He looked good enough to get an NFL tryout with Washington.
Talented, but injury prone due to his style of running.
