Habs steal another one.

If the hockey gods would allow it a Bruin-Hab conference final could be awesome.

Question is can Halak and a bunch of over achievers keep this up for two more wins.

Common sense says no but look how far they have come already.

Good one... :)
I consider "overachiever" too flattering a term. There is a significant component to that team who are not representing their own abilities very well at all.

This is a habit. They're only in the playoffs because Halak posted a pair of consecutive shutouts down the stretch in games where the Canadienes were dominated for 55 out of 60 minutes - these were "must win" games with the playoff spot in their own hands and they mostly watched one man fight against 20. That's the truth about the Habs, who they really are.

If the Habs front office and fans are satisfied with so little push back, they might as well save a pile of money, put all the forwards on waivers and replace them with the Slovak Women's Olympic team for $800K a piece.

let's not forget that the habs were rerouted by Gainey to suit a playing style that made room for the 'supposed' greatest goaltending tandem in the NHL with Price and Halak. Price failed, Halak rose to stardom... but, that doesn't matter, the Habs are a speedy front end and well supported by stay-at-home types on the rear.... not much different than what the Pens had in 09 with Scuderi, Gill, Orpik, Eaton, Boucher, Skoula...

be most fearful of a good team playing poorly in the regular season! a la Boston, Philly, Montreal and Pittsburgh...
