Got my first dose of this show now that Showcase has decided to carry it. I don't know whether they're new or how far back they are, but my initial reaction is very favourable.

You all know my thoughts on another new show of the same type, True Blood, and this show gives it a run for its money. Definitely more nudity and a good dollop of cussin', but the dialogue is good, quick and sharp. A prime example being, 'the main purpose for a little pubic hair down there is to remind you that you 'are' performing cunilingus on an adult.'

There are a lot of characters to absorb in one swoop but I'm sure gong to watch the next episode. it should be a crime to driver such a beat up Porsche, but hey.

My bad. It should read,it should be a crime to DRIVE such a beat up Porsche. The main characters Porsche is so dirty it hides the flat black paint job, has one headlight missing and I believe a crumpled right front fender. It goes well with his black eye and circles under both sockets.

I guess the idea is that he has a personality and can get laid, which is more than can be said about many many males whose cars are always clean and shiny, and who can never have a black eye as they have no guts to get into a fistfight in the first place

Apparently the episode that was on the other night, guest starring Paula Marshall, was the second episode.

I'm guessing the second of the season. 'Seeing' Paula Marshall in this role was a interesting after watching her in Gary Unmarried last year. I will admit to wondering what was under those designer peasant blouses and jeans or Gary's ex. Now I know. The scene in the bedroom, seriously stoned and making out in the Ex's bed and the ultimate critic of the Ex's boyfriends paintings was priceless. Worth a second viewing.
