Beef ribs - nice.

Once in a while Mandarin will have beef ribs on the menu. Not exactly what you are looking for - but its all you can eat and you can get you $ worth devouring these ribs!

I do occasionally get to the Michigan tavern - LaSalle (near Windsor) http://www.restaurantica.com/on/windsor/michigan-roadhouse/23004419/map/

Kinda like a roadhouse / university hang out. But they do have great beef ribs - last time I was there in 2009. Recommend you call first and see if they are still on the menu :)

If you find a place- let me know. i always prefer beef ribs over pork ribs any day! [LOL had baby back and wings tonight with a pint!]

not in the main vicinity and a little outta the way...BUUUUUUuuuuuut PHILS BBQ downtown T.O on COLLEGE STREET!

that guy owes me $$$$$, seeing I send him every person that asks for good BBQ, lol....He must have around 1000 new customers now from my and thier testiments! YES it is that FUCKING GOOD

AUTHENTIC TEXAS BBQ, and the amount of food you get is sickening! pulled pork, brisket, ribs are to die for! amazing!

he was even on Restaurant Makeover and the chefs were stunned at the taste and quality and portions of his food!

It is way out of the area but I bet there are those who would agree that Bar-B-Barn in Montreal is the place to go for really good BBQ.

Locally, no clue. Mabye bring a Bar-B-Barn franchise here?

Right here. But wish I was there!

Agree absolutely 100%. Either the Bar-B-Barn location on West Island or downtown Montreal.
I've tried the ribs at Phil's in Toronto but found them lacking. Was really disappointed.

Best Place in Canada is down the road in Paris. It's called Camp 31. You have to go. Nothing compares around the area.

We here's my take on Hog Heads in Waterloo
I only went once so it's a small window of tasting. I ordered a three thing combo in order to get a sampling of a few items. It was the Ribs, Brisket and BBQ chicken combo. The chicken sucked. Over done and not very nice pieces. Then the brisket was so stringy and tough/chewy that I had redo it in my own kitchen. I cut it into smaller less stringy pieces and added some seasoning and BBQ sauce. Then it was okay......? Now onto the ribs. They were quite good. Very nice sauce and done very well. I would buy those again.
This was takeout and therefore maybe that had some impact.
I'm not trying to say you guys didn't have better but for me it was 1 out of 3
P.S. it was like $28 buck for that combo. The bake beans were not edible as they were way too smokey and just not nice to the taste. This meal was shared by a lady friend and she also was a bit disappointed. This was early this winter in December.

Where is Camp 31 in Paris.....is it a restaurant ? Or is it at the girls YWCA camp

There is a place south of Simcoe on Hwy 24 the name has BBQ in it and I;ve heard that the pulled pork is fantastic. I haven't tried it yet myself.

was at CAMP 31 tonight....Def. NOT worth the drive if you are more than 15-20 min away. Decent food, scummy building. Ribs were cooked pretty well, but lacked alot of flavour. BBQ Chicken was nice and moist, but lacked alot of flavour.
Fries were allright, lol. Beans are disqusting, but the other three thought they were awesome. For the price (23.99) for some ribs and a bit of chicken, it was a bit too much.
I cannot say I left disappointed, only becuase of my higher expectations.
Would I go back. NOPE. Only because there are no other places is the reason it gets a vote or reccomendation from me.
oh, the worst was the service. ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE...bunch of sweet bubble butts and full titties to stare at, but service skills are in the shitter there, lol.

sorry to hear you had a shitty meal. I had the same spread a few weeks ago... chicken, ribs and sweet potatoe fries and it was great. cooked to perfection... you
have 3-4 sauces at the table to add if you liked more flavour.
For KW I don't have a favourite for ribs right now... Turtle Jacks was good, fall off the bone. Montanas is tasty but the texture varies too much (sometimes tough sometimes fall off the bone.)
as for beef brisket... is there another BBQ specialized restaurant in KW?

Camp 31 has always been good to me. Well, almost always... a few times it was a letdown. It probably depends on the cook. They used to have this tall, pretty young cook and she made everything amazing, but that was probably a year ago. I'd say 85% of the time it's been great.
